Ferrari unveiled the 296GTB mid-rear engine two-seater sports car in Maranello, Italy, under a new hybrid architecture. Its powertrain adopts a combination of a 120-degree angle V6 turbo engine with a displacement of 2992 cc and an electric motor, with a maximum engine power of 663 hp, an electric motor power of 167 hp, a comprehensive power of 830 hp, and a combined torque of 740 Nm, matching an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The 296GTB battery pack has a capacity of only 7.45 kWh, the battery pack is placed under the cockpit floor, and in order to minimize volume and weight, the cooling system and fixing points are integrated on one component. So in pure electric mode only 25 kilometers of driving distance, of course, combined with the traditional internal combustion engine after the hybrid power, the 296GTB has an unprecedented light and power, but also let this new car have more driving pleasure.
The 296GTB turbocharger is mounted at the angle of the V6 engine, which means that all the most critical heat-generating components are concentrated in the central area of the engine compartment, making thermal management of the engine compartment and electrical components more difficult, but the designer cleverly used the air intakes on the sides and at the top of the cabin to solve the problem.
For the first time on the 296GTB, the extremely high-performance Asseto Fiorano kit, an active spoiler integrated into the rear bumper, was used. After speeds above 250 km/h, the Assetto Fiorano kit can provide 360 kg of downforce to the rear of the car.
The result of this new kit is that you are presented with an extremely skilful Appearance Ferrari, with very elegant body lines and all performance-oriented elements and styling weakened, emphasizing only the combination of design and aesthetics.
The interior of the 296GTB borrows from the overall design of the SF90 Stradale and echoes the exterior, also giving a purely sporty aesthetic with a minimalist style.
