Kangxi is the longest reigning emperor in China's history, and is also known as the "Emperor of the Ages" by many later generations, because Kangxi was not only a brilliant and brilliant lord, he also made many great deeds during his political period.

Kangxi's life can be summed up in four major achievements, namely the pacification of San Francisco, the recovery of Taiwan, the defense against Tsarist Russia, and the expedition to Kaldan, all of which made indelible contributions to the stability of China's territory.
Although the Qing Dynasty lost a large area of land more than two hundred years later, most of the current territory is inherited from the Qing Dynasty, and Kangxi made a contribution to this that cannot be ignored.
Kangxi was a brilliant and brilliant lord, but it was impossible to accomplish so many great feats by relying on Kangxi alone, and Kangxi's men also had many powerful rulers, such as Soltu, Naran Mingzhu and so on.
Soltu and Naran Mingzhu were two of the most famous officials of the Kangxi Dynasty, who not only contributed to the stability of the Qing Dynasty, but were also political enemies in the court.
The two sides have been fighting each other for more than ten years, and after experiencing the peak of power, they have also come to an end, but the final outcome of the two is different.
Why was Soltu eventually given death by Kangxi in the Zongren Mansion, while Naran Mingzhu received a good death?
One of the credits of the Pearl of Naran is the pacification of San Francisco
Nalan Mingzhu was born in 1635 AD, his grandfather was the leader of the Yehe tribe, he was still related to the Kangxi Emperor, if the generations were considered, Kangxi even needed to call Nalan Mingzhu an uncle.
Due to the premature death of the Shunzhi Emperor, the six-year-old Kangxi became the fourth emperor of the Qing Dynasty, and the Shunzhi Emperor also left four auxiliary ministers for the young Kangxi, of which Aobai was the most famous.
When Kangxi was young, Ao bai controlled the government and did not take the Kangxi Emperor seriously, and when Kangxi became an adult, Ao Bai naturally became the biggest obstacle on his pro-government road.
However, at this time, Kangxi's strength in the court was very weak, and most of the people in the court were Aobai's henchmen, and at this critical moment, Naran Mingzhu and Soltu extended a helping hand to the Kangxi Emperor.
Nalan Mingzhu and Soltu and others fought against Aobai on behalf of the Kangxi Emperor many times, and finally succeeded in arresting Aobai and completely eradicating Aobai's henchmen, so Nalan Mingzhu made a contribution that could not be ignored on the road of the Kangxi Emperor's pro-government.
But it would be a big mistake to say that the Naran Pearl would be reused by Kangxi because of this, and the real stage belonging to the Naran Pearl has not yet arrived.
In the twelfth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the San Francisco Rebellion became more and more serious, Wu Sangui in Yunnan, Shang Kexi in Guangdong, and Geng Jingzhong in Fujian all had the intention of rebellion, and the question of how to deal with San Francisco became the top priority of the Kangxi Emperor.
The Kangxi Emperor was different from other emperors in ancient times in that he knew that "it is better to allow others to sleep soundly under the bed."
Kangxi decided to completely cut the domain, and although Wu Sangui and others verbally agreed to the request to cut the domain, they were always preparing for rebellion in secret.
At that time, only a few people in the imperial court agreed to withdraw the domain, including the Pearl of Naran.
On the contrary, Soltu believes that the domain should not be withdrawn, which also opens the curtain for the party struggle between Naran Mingzhu and Soltu.
Kangxi was very pleased with the support of the Naran Pearl and decided to start reusing the Naran Pearl, and finally at Kangxi's insistence, the San Francisco Rebellion was completely quelled after five years.
Recover Taiwan and resist Tsarist Russia
The second greatest credit of naran Mingzhu must have been the recovery of Taiwan, which was ruled by Zheng Jing's father and son, both of whom were generals during the Ming Dynasty, and after Zheng Jing's death, Kangxi put the plan to recover Taiwan on the agenda.
Naran Mingzhu believed that the recovery of Taiwan was an uphill battle and that an exceptionally talented man must command the army.
As a result, Shi Lang became the sole commander in charge of recovering Taiwan, and finally under the command of Shi Lang, Taiwan was successfully recovered.
Although Naran Mingzhu did not participate in the direct battle, he put forward his own views at a critical moment, indirectly affecting the entire war situation.
At this time, the Qing Dynasty has completely solved its internal worries, but external troubles also exist, and the Tsarist Russia in the north is hanging above the Qing Dynasty's head like a dagger, preparing for a move at all times.
So Kangxi decided to solve the problem of Tsarist Russia, and Nalan Mingzhu also accompanied Kangxi on his own expedition, and finally won the Battle of Yaksa with Kangxi and completely solved the problem of Tsarist invasion.
Later, the signing of the Treaty of Nebuchu was also due to the credit of Naran Mingzhu, although he did not come forward directly, but without him, it was impossible to be 100% sure that the treaty would be signed.
Pearl of Kwon Chan Naran
We have already introduced the contribution of Nalan Mingzhu to the Qing Dynasty, and it would be a big mistake to consider Nalan Mingzhu as a loyal vassal based on the above description alone, and Naran Mingzhu was actually an out-and-out courtier.
The Kangxi Emperor accomplished four great ambitions in his lifetime, and Nalan Mingzhu was directly involved in three of them. This can be summarized as the three major credits of the Naran Pearl, in contrast, the Naran Pearl also has three major faults.
The first major mistake was to form a party for personal gain, and Naran Mingzhu had fought with Soltu for more than a decade.
During this period, the two cultivated their own henchmen, and the court at that time was divided into only two factions, one was supporting Soltu and the other was supporting Naran Mingzhu.
In order to cultivate his own henchmen, the Soltu Group abandoned whomever he wanted, and he wooed them with affection, and these people naturally became Naran Mingzhu's cronies.
The party struggle between Naran Mingzhu and Soltu made the court at that time a miasma, and naran Mingzhu's second biggest fault was to accept bribes, and Naran Mingzhu was not a clean person.
During his time as an official, Naran Mingzhu took bribes, collected a mountain of money, and used his henchmen to blackmail others.
The third major mistake is to sell official positions, originally the official position should be directly appointed by the emperor, Kangxi twenty-three years there were many idle official positions, Nalan Mingzhu sold these official positions to the outside world by virtue of his own position, who gives more money, these official positions belong to whom.
It can be said that Nalan Mingzhu's behavior was intolerable in the eyes of any emperor, and finally in the twenty-sixth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, Nalan Mingzhu was impeached by others and was finally dismissed from his official post.
Although he was reinstated after a short period of time, he was never reused in the next twenty years, and died of illness at home in the forty-seventh year of kangxi.
In contrast, Soltu was not as cautious as Naran Mingzhu, who was too arrogant, and although Naran Mingzhu and Soltu were similarly responsible for their crimes, Soltu did not take Kangxi in his eyes, and even wanted to establish a new emperor to replace him.
Saltu was eventually executed for "discussing state affairs and forming a party", which indirectly led to the difference in the outcome of the two.
epilogue
Naran Mingzhu's life can be described as a ups and downs, he not only felt the peak of power, but also experienced a low after the peak, and finally collapsed.
If Nalan Mingzhu could restrain his behavior, he would certainly continue to be used by Kangxi in his later years, and he would be famous for eternity like Lin Xiangru, Wei Zheng and other famous courtiers.
