After a few hours, Mei Shaoqing's lips were finally stitched, and soon after, under the meticulous care of the peasant woman, Mei Shaoqing finally recovered, he bid farewell to the peasant woman and returned to the team.

When he walked into the grass shed, he found that there was a beggar inside, and when the beggar saw the bloodied man in front of him, he was frightened and did not dare to move for an instant, and Mei Shaoqing also saw that the beggar was afraid of himself, so he explained to him:
"Fellow, don't be afraid, I won't hurt you, I'm a Soldier of the Red Army, I was wounded by the enemy, I don't know if I can spend the night here."
And this beggar saw that Mei Shaoqing was really a little unable to support, so he quickly helped him into his own grass shed, helped him clean up the wound, through chatting, Mei Shaoqing knew that this beggar's surname was Wu, the family was in the next village, his parents were killed by the enemy, and he had no choice but to become a beggar.
