As an original exhibition of Chengbo, the special exhibition "List of Five Capitals - Chinese Cities in the Qin and Han Dynasties" brings together more than 300 pieces/sets of fine cultural relics reflecting the urban production and life of the Qin and Han dynasties, and comprehensively shows the vigorous and prosperous but different urban landscapes under the background of the great unification of the Qin and Han Dynasties. The special exhibition "Discovering the Beauty of Chinese Medicine - Cultural Relics of Traditional Chinese Medicine" is the first collection of cultural relics and treasures unearthed from traditional Chinese medicine in China, focusing on a magnificent world of traditional Chinese medicine.

In 2021, Chengbo "Brilliant Chengdu", "Colorful Civilization" and "Art Collection" three series of exhibition season brands have begun to take shape, and the colorful exhibitions have greatly enriched the cultural life of the public, allowing more people to enter the museum, understand history, and perceive civilization.

The new Chengdu Museum, which was inaugurated in 2016, has a profound meaning. The design takes the meaning of the "West Mountain" of the Sacred Mountain of Chengdu Plain, which is composed of more than 20,000 pieces of German-made copper plates and punching plates spliced at different angles, constructing a frame system with a sense of layering and abstract geometry, and the gold copper plate and blue-green glass constitute the overall appearance characteristics of its "gold inlaid jade". The all-steel structure, large-span space and overall building seismic technology allow the building body to defend against a magnitude 8 earthquake. At the same time, as a cultural space located in the city center, Chengbo is deeply loved by young people with its fashionable space design. The clean and transparent glass curtain wall, the geometric steel structure full of three-dimensional sense, and the exhibition design that changes according to the theme style of different exhibitions all highlight the artistic atmosphere that integrates historical background and modern aesthetics.
