The 11 fine cultural relics in the collection of Gaotai County Museum are open to the public at the Chengdu Museum

On January 25, 2022, under the guidance of the Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, the Propaganda Department of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism (Chengdu Municipal Cultural Relics Bureau), the support of the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center and the Beijing Institute of Fashion, sponsored by the Chengdu Museum, and participated in by the Gansu Provincial Museum and the Gaotai County Museum, the "Special Exhibition of Silk Road Costume Culture" was officially opened to the public at the Chengdu Museum.

In this exhibition, a total of 186 pieces/groups of exquisite cultural relics from more than 20 cultural institutions along the Silk Road were exhibited, and the Gaotai County Museum selected a total of 11 precious cultural relics from the collection to participate in the exhibition, including 7 first-class cultural relics, 1 second-class cultural relics, and 3 third-level cultural relics, including gold judder, JianMu, silk weaving cloud embroidery, portrait bricks, etc. The exhibition mainly focuses on the costumes and silk fabrics unearthed along the Silk Road, supplemented by pottery maids, murals, portrait bricks and other physical objects, using silk road costumes as the medium to show the interaction and flow of Chinese and Western technology and aesthetics. The content and artistic value of the fine cultural relics exhibited by Gaotai County Museum have distinct characteristics of the Silk Road, and also represent the rich historical and cultural characteristics of Gaotai, which is fully in line with the theme and content of the exhibition.

The exhibition period is from January 25, 2022 to May 5, 2022, the exhibition venue is the special exhibition hall on the first floor of Chengdu Museum, and interested friends are welcome to visit and view the exhibition at Chengdu Museum. (Yang Xue)
