Kiev, 26 Jan (People's Daily News) -- On 26 January, on the occasion of the 10-day countdown to the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the National Sports Committee for the Disabled of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Industrial Development Promotion Association and other departments jointly held a celebration with the theme of "Ice and Snow Winter Olympics, Beijing Refueling".

Fan Xianrong said in his speech that in 10 days, the Beijing Winter Olympics will be kicked off, and Beijing is ready to open its arms and warmly welcome the arrival of friends and athletes from all over the world. Chesnokov said that the Chinese side has actively promoted various preparatory work and made every effort to ensure the smooth holding of the Beijing Winter Olympics as scheduled, believing that the Beijing Winter Olympics will be a complete success and create another brilliant Beijing Summer Olympic Games. The Ukrainian side will actively send personnel to China to participate in 12 sports competitions, hoping that Ukraine and China will take the Beijing Winter Olympics as an opportunity to further strengthen sports exchanges and cooperation.
