Is this still football? The 42-year-old legendary midfielder who played the most was banned for life!

When fans talk about Ukrainian football, Tymoszchuk is an unavoidable name. The midfielder, who played for Bayern Munich, is one of the most famous Ukrainian players of the 21st century.

Under the influence of the recent situation in Russia and Ukraine, the famous player who has won the Ukrainian Footballer of the Year four times has received a lifetime ban from the motherland!

On March 12, the Ukrainian Football Federation announced that Tymoschuk had been stripped of all honors and banned him from all football activities in Ukraine. Such a move means that the former national team captain will no longer be able to play football activities in the country, and has been severely banned.

Tymoschuk was banned from football in Ukraine for life, and all the honors he received in Ukrainian football were wiped out.

This has a huge impact on his football career, because he is an assistant coach in Russia's powerhouse Zenit and has never made a statement on the situation between Russia and Ukraine.

Silence could have been Tymoschuk's freedom, and the move made his football honor no longer recognized by his country. But from another point of view, in today's special situation, he has been staying in Russia as a public figure in Ukraine, which may not be appropriate.

Anatoly Tymoschuk in 1979 was born from Ukrainian side Worin and thrived on the homegrown powerhouse after moving to Miner Donetsk in March 1998 for a transfer fee of €120,000.

In addition to the Ukrainian Footballer of the Year 4 times, he has won 3 Ukrainian Super League titles, 4 Ukrainian Cup titles, 1 Super Cup title and 3 Times Player of the Year in Ukrainian football.

As a legend in Ukrainian football, Timoshchuk has played a total of 144 games for Ukraine, holding the record for the most appearances for the national team.

In February 2007, Russian powerhouse Zenit signed Timoschuk for a transfer fee of 14.5 million euros, where his personal prowess was taken to the next level and attracted attention from the major giants.

In July 2009, Bayern Munich signed him for a transfer fee of 11 million euros, and although Timoszchuk is not an absolute main player in the Bundesliga hegemon, he is becoming more famous in world football on this larger stage. In July 2013, he rejoined Zenit for two years.

In July 2015, he traveled to Kazakhstan's heylates and chose to retire in February 2017. During his football career, Timoschuk made his debut and grew up in Ukrainian football, but was further promoted in Russian football, and joining the top giants of German football has raised his career to a higher level.

Looking at the recent series of events in European football, it seems that football has been made to no longer be football, because other things have been greatly affected. Timoschuk was banned for life in football and the assets of the Chelsea football club owner were frozen.

I have to say that this is indeed a bit excessive, football has been completely teased from outside the field, "football without borders" seems to have become an empty phrase. What's worse now, however, is that there seems to be something even more outrageous going on, and anything is possible!

Fans think that if this continues, where will football go?
