In the thirteenth year of the Tang Dynasty Emperor's calendar, the 42-year-old Huai Su, instigated by the wonderful account of Yandang Mountain in the Buddhist scriptures, devoted himself to Yandang Mountain, so he put on his simple bag, which contained "autumn cocoon paper", and began his journey to the south. In the autumn of that year, he traveled to Yandang Mountain, stayed at the Yandang Jingshe (probably the snow cave of today), and was received attentively and thoughtfully. He enjoyed watching the strange peaks, strange rocks, giant ridges and waterfalls of the wild geese and felt very comfortable. When the abbot of Jingshe, who admired The Great Name of Huaisu, asked him for a souvenir, he gladly copied the Hinayana classic, the Forty-Two Chapters Sutra, in fine cursive script that he excelled in.

This cursive Buddhist sutra is about 3 zhang long, with a total of 248 lines and 2663 words, which is a long and huge work. According to records, during the Northern Song Dynasty, it was obtained by the Zen master Dajue. In the 1920s, it was collected by Zhou Lian and Pu Yongqing in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. In 1928, the Zhonghua Book Company published the "Ancient and Modern Celebrity Ink Daguan" to include this volume. At the end of the volume is an article by the Great Awakening Zen Master, and there are clouds in the book: "The master's book is wonderful in ancient and modern times, the pen is longitudinal, the electricity is waved, the strange rain and wind are fierce, the changes are at will, and the mysterious is unpredictable..." The great painter Xu Beihong even said in his painting "Huai Su Writes Banana Leaf Diagram": "The forty-two chapters of the Tibetan Truth Sutra, no ancients before, no one after, should sincerely use the book buddha's eye." In the history of cursive art, from the middle of the Tang Dynasty, it has been talked about for calligraphy lovers for more than twelve hundred years. Huai Su, a monk at the age of ten, was a native of Lingling, Yongzhou (present-day Lingling, Hunan). When he was young in his spare time in Zen, he loved calligraphy, and he was poor and paperless, so he planted more than 10,000 bananas for the practice of writing, and used banana leaves instead of paper. Since the residence is full of banana forests, it is humorous to call the residence "Green Sky Temple". And the use of lacquer plates, lacquer plates instead of paper, diligent study, plates, plates are written through, writing bad pen heads are also many, buried together, named "pen mound".

Huai Sushan uses the center pen to make pure momentum as a big grass, such as "sudden rain and whirlwind, full of momentum", to the realm of "suddenly screaming three or five times, full of walls and tens of millions of words". Although it is fast, Huai Su can fly through the grass and rarely make mistakes. Compared with the confusion and lack of many scholars' cursive methods, it is much more advanced. It is the wild grass of Zhi Huaisu, although it is spontaneous and changeable, it will never leave the Wei and Jin Fadu. This is indeed due to the fact that he derived it from extreme asceticism. There are many handwritings handed down by Huai Su: there are thousands of characters, the Pure Scripture, the Virgin's Thesis, the Tibetan True Thesis, the Vinaya Post, the Athlete's Foot Post, the Self-Narration Post, the Bitter Bamboo Shoot Post, the Fish Eating Post, and the Forty-two Chapters Sutra.

In the study of the above Huaisu works, the styles are not all the same, so large that they can be divided into three types: First, those that have not completely got rid of the previous style: such as the Virgin, the Fish Eater, the Bitter Xun, the Tibetan Truth, and the Various Thes, which retain a lot of Jinfa, and the Virgin's Thesis and many yan Zhenqing style. The second is that he has his own style of skill, such as the Pure Scripture, the Forty-two Chapters Sutra, and the Self-Narration (which can be called the standard Huai su book). The third is to follow the style of writing and writing, such as the small grass thousand character text, which is very different from its wild style, completely changed its face, and can also be said to be his superiority.
