Shortly after his wife's death, the imperial court revived him as a driver for Yuan Zhou, but because of his depressed mood and huaicai, he eventually died of illness on September 23, 12012 at the Yuan Prefecture official residence, and was buried in the huangshan plains in the fourteenth year of Kaiyuan.
At this point, the feud between Princess Taiping and Li Longji was put to rest due to the death of Taiping, and the woman's desire for power and ambition were in vain, and she was unable to ascend to the treasure like her mother.
