The 7th Shanghai International Handmade Expo is meeting with handmade enthusiasts online a few days ago. The theme of the expo is "handmade in the clouds, warm and sweet", sharing the joy of handmade in winter, feeling the charm of the national intangible cultural heritage, and experiencing the temperature of urban aesthetic education, the expo will last until January 15.

For the first time, the expo adopts the online immersive display method, which is divided into two parts: "digital map" and "cloud exhibition hall". The "Digital Map" uses the map of China's virtual mountain range to present the traditional crafts and intangible cultural and creative products of 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China; the "Cloud Exhibition Hall" adopts an immersive exhibition hall to take the audience to visit the intangible cultural heritage aesthetic education courses and hand-made experience space, presenting the national intangible cultural heritage, intangible cultural heritage aesthetic education, design brand, international handicraft and other plate content.
The online expo unites all major high schools and primary schools in Shanghai and the national non-genetic heritage population to focus on intangible cultural heritage education, launching 50 online courses of "Four Seasons Aesthetic Education Course" and more than 500 intangible cultural heritage works. At the same time, the expo focuses on The Intangible Cultural Heritage of Haipai, showing the new face of the revitalization of traditional crafts in the Yangtze River Delta, and bringing together new works of Jiangnan crafts such as Nanjing Yunjin, Dongyang Bamboo Weaving, Yangzhou Velvet Flower, and Anhui Bamboo Carving.
The reporter learned that the Shanghai International Handmade Expo is a support project of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education for the "combination of culture and education", and it is also an "influential traditional craft brand activity" mentioned in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's "14th Five-Year Plan for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage". The expo is jointly sponsored by Shanghai Public Art Collaborative Innovation Center, Shanghai Creative Designers Association and Shanghai Handmade Street Information Technology Co., Ltd., and is also the practice base of Shanghai University's handmade cultural creation.
Since 2015, the Shanghai International Handmade Expo has been successfully held for six sessions, bringing together non-genetic inheritors from all over the country and handicraft brands from all over the world, using a variety of immersive display methods such as exhibitions, experience courses, creative markets, and cultural classrooms, giving full play to the innovative power of universities and building a platform for non-genetic inheritance and public aesthetic education. Previous hand-made expositions have attracted the enthusiastic participation of the public audience, especially favored by parent-child families, and are called "an expo that can be played" by the audience.
