In the Changting Museum, there are four national cultural relics: a parcel cloth, a pair of silver bracelets, a copper basin and an old blanket, which are the relics of the martyr Tang Yizhen, who died heroically on January 31, 1935 in the village of Xia Laiba, the capital of Changting Sidu, and is known as the most beautiful Red Army, the director of the Provisional Central General Health Department of the Soviet Central Medical Materials Bureau and the director of the Sanitary Materials Factory.
Tang Yizhen was born in a family of traditional Chinese medicine in Jinkou Town, Wuchang, Hubei Province, his father was a well-known old Chinese medicine doctor, and his mother was virtuous and kind. The six brothers and sisters ranked the smallest in righteousness. As a teenager, she was smart and ambitious, and at the age of 14, she was admitted to the Hubei Provincial Women's Normal School with excellent results, she was very beautiful and talented, and was known as a generation of talented women. While studying, she embarked on the revolutionary road and joined the regiment, became the head of the student union and the women's federation, actively participated in revolutionary activities, turned to secret struggle after the defeat of the Great Revolution, and at the age of 18 she was sent by the organization to study at Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow.
During his studies at Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow, Tang Yizhen met Lu Dingyi, who was also studying here, and in a foreign country, two patriotic young people with the same political beliefs, the same world outlook and outlook on life, every time they met, there were endless topics to talk about, and eventually became confidants, and then they got to know each other, love each other, and get married. After graduating and returning to China, the couple came to work in the Central Soviet District in Gannan, Jiangxi Province, and Tang Yizhen gave full play to his special skills of coming from a family of traditional Chinese medicine and having a certain knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, leading everyone to go up to the mountains to collect medicines, make Chinese herbal medicines, and supply the troops and the masses in the base areas. Deeply welcomed by the Red Army and the masses in the base areas, he was appointed director of the Medicinal Materials Bureau of the Provisional Central General Health Department of the Soviet Union and director of the Sanitary Materials Factory.
Due to the severe economic blockade imposed by the enemy on the Central Soviet Region at that time, the Red Army troops were extremely short of medicines, not even gauze or disinfectant cotton. Tang Yizhen mobilized the vast number of staff and workers to collect the old gauze, cotton balls, and cotton swabs that had been used, washed and disinfected for use by the troops and hospitals, effectively solved the serious shortage of drugs in the Soviet area, and made contributions to the development of the Soviet area.
In the autumn of 1934, the Central Red Army lost the fifth anti-"encirclement and suppression" campaign in the Gannan base area and was forced to carry out a strategic shift, opening up the arduous road of the Red Army's Long March. At that time, in order to contain the enemy's rapid pursuit of the main force of the red army that was moving and to alleviate the military pressure of the main red army, more than 10,000 troops were left to fight guerrillas in the base areas.
After the Long March of the main Red Army, Tang Yizhen, who was about to give birth and had limited mobility, first handed over his three-year-old daughter Ye Ping to Zhang De'an, the administrator of the factory who could not participate in the Long March due to illness, and entrusted him to foster him to a reliable family. Subsequently, it was transferred from Ruijin to Changting. Dragging her bulky body, she threw herself into the work of rescuing the wounded and sick of the Red Army.
Soon, in the home of Fan Qibiao in Changting Sidu Guitian Village, Tang Yizhen gave birth to a boy, in order to commemorate her strong friendship with Lu Dingyi, the child named "Xiaoding", looking at the newborn child Her heart was extremely joyful, she seemed to see a happy future. At this time, she hoped that she could accompany her children to grow up slowly, but she knew that at this time, China was in a precarious situation, the situation of struggle was getting more and more severe, and the enemy's large troops had surrounded the Red Army guerrilla garrison.
Less than half a month after giving birth, Tang Yizhen received a transfer notice from her superiors, and in order not to drag everyone down, she resolutely and resolutely sent the child to Fan Qibiao and Cong Xiumei to raise. She, with tears in her eyes, the pain of the ninja's heart and lungs, she wanted to give everything to the child... But she could only leave the only blanket, a copper washbasin, and a postal cloth bag to Fan Qibiao and his wife, and wrote down the address of her hometown in Jinshan Town, Wuchang, Hubei Province, in Chinese and Russian, and said to Fan Qibiao and his wife: "When the revolution is victorious, we will contact him." If I don't come, I'm no longer alive, but tell my children that I died for the revolution. ”
Tang Yizhen and the Red Army contingent were active in a mountain stream near Wujiaotang, unfortunately surrounded by a regiment of the Kuomintang 36th Division, besieged in the pit of Wujiaotang Mountain, after a day of stubborn resistance, finally outnumbered, Tang Yizhen and the military district political commissar Hu, hu camp commander and others who accompanied the battalion were captured, the enemy tied their hands behind their backs, covered their eyes with white cloths, dragged while beating, and brought them to a regimental headquarters of the 36th Division of Siduxia Laiba.
On the night of being captured, Tang Yizhen escaped from prison with Commissar Hu and Commander Hu Yingchang, but they were seriously injured, and they were discovered by the enemy before they went far, and on January 30, 1935, they were arrested again in the deep mountain pass. When Tang Yizhen was arrested, he kneaded a secret party document hidden on his body into a ball and shoved it into his mouth and swallowed it into his stomach.
The enemy discovered this move of Tang Yizhen, brutally interrogated her, and forced her to hand over documents and confess the whereabouts of other comrades. Tang Yizhen's whole body was bloodied, but she looked at her angrily and never uttered half a word until she was beaten to death. She knew that the enemy was going to poison herself, and Tang Yizhen took off the silver bracelet in her hand and handed it to Chen Liumao, a comrade-in-arms who had been bailed out by relatives and friends, telling her that after escaping, she would tell her husband's name was Lu Dingyi and her son's name was Lu Xiaoding, and that in the future the victory of the revolution would be recognized, and she would tell me that I had sacrificed for the revolution.
On January 31, 1935, on a frosty morning when the mountain wind whistled, three Red Army soldiers were detained in the temporary cell of Xia Laiba Village, and Tang Yizhen walked in the front with difficulty. Her pale face was scarred, her light gray cotton military uniform was torn, the brown rope tied to her muscles was pierced, and her injured right leg was somewhat lame. But she held her head high, did not squint, and walked slowly toward the three chestnut trees on the river beach. "Bang, bang" two gunshots rang out, and Commissar Hu and Commander Hu were killed by drinking bullets. An enemy officer shouted hysterically: "She swallowed an important document, rip it open!" ”
Several bandits showed sharp bayonets and brutally cut open her stomach, and even her intestines and internal organs were dug out by the beast. In this way, Tang Yizhen's beautiful youth was frozen at the age of 25, and she composed a tragic and majestic song of righteousness with her life and blood, fighting for the magnificent revolutionary cause until the last breath of her life.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Lu Dingyi, who became a vice-state, finally found his son Lu Xiaoding through many searches, and was raised in a family named Fan Qibiao in Changting, and in order to thank Fan Qibiao, he renamed his son "Lu Fan Jiading". Subsequently, he found his daughter Lu Yeping, and the family was finally reunited, and Lu Ding hugged his 53-year-old pair of children and cried bitterly, and everyone in the audience drank silently. On the stone stele in front of Tang Yizhen's tomb, Lu Dingyi's handwritten inscription was left: "Yizhen confidant, my wife." ”
In order to commemorate this beautiful female martyr of the Red Army, Tang Yizhen, the locals built a simple and generous, neat and solemn tomb - Tang Yizhen Tomb- in Luohan Ridge, which has a beautiful scenery outside the west gate of Changting City, the tomb stands on the lush, tall and majestic, lush forest halfway up the mountainside, the tomb is light white, the words embedded in the stele are pale yellow, a thick green background is red marble, countless people come here to worship this heroine of the Red Army, remember her great achievements, in order to comfort the heroic souls of the martyrs.
