Happy, very few people care who is the first to stand up to rehabilitate Mr. Peng, today I will introduce him for everyone, this person is called Lu Dingyi, I believe many people do not know who he is, because he is not famous in the party and in the military.
It can only be said that some people are accustomed to giving silently, Lu Dingyi is such a typical example, he is an old revolutionary, but he is different from many revolutionaries, he was born in a wealthy family, his grandfather was a Qing Dynasty official, fortunately he did not become a feudalist.
Lu Dingyi was a progressive intellectual, in 1925, at the age of 19, Lu Dingyi went to Shanghai to study, where he received new ideas, was introduced to the Communist Party, and at first he used the pen to fight against the enemy and wrote a large number of articles propagating the revolution.
In 1927, after the defeat of the Great Revolution, at the behest of Chiang Kai-shek, the enemy frantically killed revolutionary volunteers, Lu Dingyi, undaunted by the cruelty of the enemy, assisted in the propaganda work in Guangdong, mobilized more than 1,000 people to join the revolutionary contingent, and soon he was elected as a representative in Moscow.
At that time, Lu Dingyi had a certain position in the party, and it is worth saying that after the founding of New China, he was appointed as the propaganda minister, the first propaganda minister of China, and what is even more remarkable is that Lu Dingyi later became a standing committee member of the National People's Congress.
In fact, judging from Lu Dingyi's early work, he has been engaged in propaganda work for a long time, and his work ability is certainly not said, in 1959, Lu Dingyi became vice premier, but unfortunately, he was not spared, and he was imprisoned for 13 years.
Lu Dingyi was only released in December 1978, that is to say, soon after he came out, he thought of rehabilitating Mr. Peng, it can be said that he was prepared for this for a long time, at the beginning of his release from prison, due to physical reasons, he needed to go to the hospital for examination and treatment.
Lu Ding, who was in the hospital, did not slacken off at all, and he wrote an article during his hospital about remembering Premier Zhou, and in his nostalgic article, he mentioned that he wanted to rehabilitate Mr. Peng, and under the circumstances at that time, he was the first person in the party to propose to rehabilitate Mr. Peng.
So after the closing of the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee, it was decided to hold a memorial service for Mr. Peng on the 24th, when Mr. Peng's ashes were stored in an ordinary ancient tomb, and later arranged for someone to urgently take Mr. Peng's ashes to Beijing, and successfully held a memorial service on the 24th.
It has to be said that Lu Dingyi paid a lot for the rehabilitation of Mr. Peng, after which Lu Dingyi continued to shine and served as an adviser to the Propaganda Department, until his death on May 9, 1996, at the age of 90, in his eulogy, the word "great" was used to describe him.
