In the Jiangxia District outside Wuchang City, there is a thousand-year-old town called Jinkou, which is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River, where the Jinshui River flows into the Yangtze River. It is the birthplace of Wuhan dock culture, called Tukou in ancient times, and is named after the mouth of the river where the water is "now golden water" enters the river. For thousands of years, Jinkou has played a variety of roles in history, and since the Song Dynasty, it has gradually formed the Golden Wharf, the Ancient Battlefield of Chibi in the Three Kingdoms, and the shipwreck of the Zhongshan Ship. Now Jinkou Ferry, the boats shuttle on the Yangtze River, stand at the ferry, watch the seagulls soar freely over the Yangtze River, listen to the sound of the air whistle issued by the passing ships, the vast Yangtze River, ancient towns, all let people linger.
Although this place has long lost its former prosperity, the boats on the river are leisurely, and the reeds still sway with the wind, forming a golden reed, which is beautiful and spectacular. The ancient bluestone slab road, the ancient style of the jiangnan water town still exists, retaining the original appearance, not after a long period of time and becoming unrecognizable, or Jinkou is an ancient commodity distribution center and transit port, Jinkou Street retains the appearance of ancient houses, there is a sense of beauty and sedimentation of the years. The main street and the west horizontal street are lined with shops on both sides, and the market is densely packed with vendors and the market is prosperous. Walking down the street, I found a sign hanging in front of the residential building with a sign of "Honorable Martyrs", and the locals told me that three famous people once walked out of this street. One is the famous female martyr Tang Yizhen during the Red Army period, the brothers of her two famous artists, Tang Yijing and Tang Yihe, and the story of Lu Dingyi, who later served as a deputy state minister.
Tang Yizhen, born on July 2, 1909 in a family of traditional Chinese medicine in Jinkou Ancient Town Street, she ranked sixth, five older brothers, of which Tang Yijing and Tang Yihe were two famous artists, because her parents gave birth to a daughter until the sixth child, her parents and the whole family are very happy.
She grew up smart and kind-hearted, able to help her sisters-in-law to manage the housework, to what difficulties the classmates have, always as far as possible to support, with their own pocket money to help them, every winter and summer vacation, often because of the escape of feudal family marriage or family economic difficulties of the classmates to live in her home, she enthusiastically talked with these classmates, understand the evils of the old social system, but also to these classmates to help, she was such a character when she was young.
In 1926, she was admitted to the Hubei Provincial Women's Normal School with excellent results, very beautiful and talented, and was known as a generation of talented women. When she was a student, she embarked on the revolutionary road and joined the Communist Youth League, became the head of the student union and the women's federation, actively participated in revolutionary activities, and after the failure of the Great Revolution, she turned to secret struggle, and she was sent to The Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow for further study.
At this time, Tang Yizhen, who is 18 years old, is in the middle of his years, looks beautiful, tall figure, big eyes, good face, elegant demeanor, natural beauty, known as the highest value of the international student. At this time, I got acquainted with Lu Dingyi, a talented and knowledgeable member of the delegation to Moscow, and two enthusiastic young people in a foreign country had the same feelings, the two saw each other, shared common views, and every time they met, there were endless topics to talk about. The common views and revolutionary convictions made them deeply in love, and they became confidants and married.
After completing his studies, Tang Yizhen followed her husband Lu Dingyi to the Central Soviet District of Ruijin, where her husband served as the propaganda minister, and Tang Yizhen served as the director of the Medicinal Materials Bureau of the General Health Department of the Soviet Union and the director of the Sanitary Materials Factory, and both became senior cadres of the Red Army. In December 1931, Lu Dingyi welcomed his first daughter. The wife gave birth in Yeping, Ruijin, Jiangxi, where the Central Soviet District government is located, and they named their daughter "Yeping". Due to the enemy's economic blockade, the Red Army troops were extremely short of medicines, not even gauze or disinfectant cotton. Tang Yizhen mobilized the broad masses of staff and workers to collect the old gauze, cotton balls, and cotton swabs that had been used, washed and disinfected for use by the troops and hospitals, and effectively solved the serious shortage of medicines in the Soviet area.
In the autumn of 1934, the Central Red Army lost the fifth anti-"encirclement and suppression" and was forced to carry out the Long March, and after the decision of the superiors, Tang Yizhenze, then director of the Medicinal Materials Bureau of the General Health Ministry and director of the Sanitary Materials Factory, was pregnant and stayed behind in the Soviet Area to fight guerrillas, and her husband Lu Dingyi embarked on the long march. At that time, Lu Dingyi's mood was extremely heavy, and his wife comforted him. When the two broke up, it was decided that Tang Yizhen would stay in the Soviet district and entrust her daughter to Zhang Dewan, the administrator of the sanitary materials factory who had not been able to make the Long March due to illness at that time. In early January 1935, three months after the Long March of the main Red Army, Tang Yizhen gave birth to a boy in the home of Fan Qibiao, a disabled Red Army soldier in Guitian Village, Sidu Township, Changting County, Western Fujian Province, named Xiaoding, and given to Fan Qibiao and Cong Xiumei to raise. She gave One of her blankets and a copper washbasin to Fan Qibiao and his wife, and wrote down her address in Chinese and Russian for her hometown in Wuchang, Hubei Province. "
At this time, however, the enemy intensified its efforts to "clear and suppress," and the situation of the remaining units of the Red Army became increasingly dangerous. In order to get out of the predicament, they decided to move in the direction of the west of the river, and when the team passed a single wooden bridge on the cliff between the two mountains, someone demolished the bridge in order to cut off the pursuing troops, but unexpectedly exposed the whereabouts of the troops. In this way, the enemy quickly and densely encircled. At noon on the 27th, Tang Yizhen had a premonition that the situation was critical, so he entrusted chen Liumao, the propaganda officer of the Fujian Provincial Cpc Committee of the Young Communist Party, to his posthumous affairs: "This time I don't know if I can get out of danger. You're a local and you might break out. I'll give you a pair of silver bracelets as a souvenir. Later, when someone asks about you, you will tell him: My husband's name is Lu Dingyi. At this time, Tang Yizhen's enemies who were following the troops were trapped in the pit of Wujiaoyuan Mountain, and after a day of stubborn resistance, they were finally outnumbered, and Tang Yizhen was arrested together with the military commissar Hu and the commander of the Hu battalion, who accompanied the battalion, and were imprisoned in the regimental headquarters of the Lower Laiba Regiment in Sidu. The enemy tortured Tang Yizhen severely, in a vain attempt to get an important confession from this female Red Army, but Tang Yizhen was unyielding, and it was night, Tang Yizhen escaped from prison with Hu Political Commissar and Hu Yingchang, but was soon detected by the enemy, and they were arrested again in the deep mountain pass. When Tang Yizhen was arrested, he kneaded a secret party document hidden on his body into a ball, stuffed it into his mouth and swallowed it into his stomach, and was discovered by the enemy. The enemy again brutally interrogated Tang Yizhen and forced her to hand over documents to reveal the whereabouts of other comrades.
The enemy regimental commander interrogated Tang Yizhen angrily, "Do you still want to live?" Tang Yizhen said, "If I am caught by you, I will only die once." The enemy regimental commander said, "Don't you feel sorry that you are so young that you are dead?" Tang Yizhen said: "Die for the toiling masses of the world, and die without regrets." The enemy became angry and tortured Tang Yizhen. Tang Yizhen's whole body was beaten to a blur of blood and flesh, but she looked at each other angrily and never uttered half a word until she was beaten to death. At night, Chen Liumao, a comrade-in-arms who was released on bail by relatives and friends, bought a cell guard to see Tang Yizhen. Tang Yizhen knew that time was short, and resolutely bid farewell to Chen Liu's grandmother: "The enemy will not let us go, since I did not escape, it is inevitable that I will die, but I will also die under the red flag!" On January 31, 1935, on a frosty morning when the mountain wind whistled, three Red Army soldiers who were tied up by five flowers were escorted from the temporary cell of Xia Laiba Village, and Tang Yizhen walked hard at the end. Her pale face was scarred, her light gray cotton military uniform was torn, the brown rope tied to her muscles was pierced, and her injured right leg was somewhat lame. But she held her head high, did not squint, and walked slowly toward the three chestnut trees on the river beach. "Bang, bang" two gunshots rang out, and Commissar Hu and the battalion commander were shot and killed. At this time, an enemy officer shouted hysterically: "She swallowed an important document, opened!" In this way, Tang Yizhen, who was only 25 years old, dedicated his youth to the revolutionary cause.
When Lu Dingyi heard the bad news of his wife's sacrifice in Yan'an, it was like a thunderbolt on a sunny day, and he was grief-stricken. Later, recalling the grief at that time, he wrote: "I have been insomnia for more than half a month. Since then, whether it is a great joy or a great tragedy, I can't shed tears. "With the sadness of losing their beloved wife, there is also the anxiety of holding their intestines day and night: Where is their daughter who was under 3 years old now? Where is the son who has not met? Do they have well-meaning people to adopt? Do you live in the human world? All this is unknown, the flesh and bones are separated, the period is endless, and the gathering is difficult to predict. From then on, stepping on the iron shoes also had to retrieve the lost children, which became Lu Dingyi's lifelong wish.

After the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communists during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Lu Dingyi took a leave of absence from illness to go to Nanjing for surgery, at this time, Lu Dingyi asked his stepmother for more than 2,000 yuan from his stepmother to share in his name after his father's death. 1,000 yuan was given to the Nanjing office of the Eighth Route Army in the name of party fees; another 1,000 yuan was given to Tang Yizhen's two artist brothers, Tang Yijing and Tang Yihe, who entrusted them as expenses for finding Yeping, while he only spent 200 yuan on his own medical treatment.
After the eldest brother Tang Yijing returned to Wuchang, he consulted with the fifth brother Tang Yihe, hid the news of Yizhen's possible sacrifice from his mother, first corresponded with the Jiangxi side, and sent money many times, hoping to ask someone to bring Yeping to Wuhan. As a result, he was deceived, and only a photo was sent there, but the photo showed a young man wearing a Kuomintang military uniform, whose age and gender were not correct (the Tang family later analyzed that it may have been the military commander who intervened). To this end, the brother Tang Yijing decided to personally go to Gannan in Jiangxi to find Yeping. But when he arrived in Nanchang, the Japanese army began to attack Wuhan, and he had to return, the Tang family recalled, and he found someone following him on the way.

Fortunately, Chen Liumao was still alive, and according to her help, she found her son Xiaoding in Fan Qibiao's home, and after hard work in Yudu, Gannan Province, she found Lu Lao's daughter Ye Ping and her family.
