On January 31, 1935, on a cold and windy morning, in a cell in Laiba Village, Sidu Township, Changting County, three Red Army officers were taken out by a large number of people, and one of the female officers staggered to the front, her white face was scarred, even if she was wearing a cotton jacket, her whole body was also bloodstained, and the air was filled with the smell of blood, you can imagine what happened to her in prison. This revolutionary volunteer is Lu Dingyi's wife, Tang Yizhen, and this time she will go to the execution ground with her two other revolutionary comrades to interpret her loyal revolutionary spirit with blood.
With two gunshots, Commissar Hu and Commander Hu fell in a pool of blood. It was this female red bandit who had just swallowed a document hidden on her body when we weren't paying attention! An enemy officer shouted, and then yelled at the executioner next to him, took the knife, and directly opened his intestines, even if he swallowed, he also wanted to find out the document for me. So a few executioners, like beasts, stripped her of her clothes in public in the bitter cold wind, and then the enemy inserted the bayonet into her abdomen alive, and then the mad enemy reached out and took out her intestines and internal organs from her abdomen, and in this way, our loyal revolutionary was sacrificed at the hands of the inhumane enemy. This year, she was just 25 years old.
Tang Yizhen was born in 1909 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, his father inherited the ancestral inheritance, is a traditional Chinese medicine doctor, well-known in the local area, the family is relatively solid. Born in such a privileged family, Tang Yizhen did not enjoy a privileged life like other girls. In that era, she witnessed the suffering of the people around her and the darkness of the society at that time, and a seed to change the status quo slowly sprouted in her heart, and during her school years, Tang Yizhen joined the Chinese Communist Youth League, and she was also the head of the student union and the women's federation. She was both excellent in character and intelligence, and Dong Biwu once praised her as a "young man with achievements".
After graduation, during the white terror period, the Kuomintang reactionaries went everywhere to sabotage the revolution, and many revolutionary volunteers were arrested and persecuted, and Tang Yizhen went underground. During her time in Hankou, she went deep among the workers to do organizational and propaganda work, which greatly boosted the morale of the revolution and made great contributions to the active participation of the workers in the revolution.
Tang Yizhen married Lu Dingyi in 1929, and soon after went to the Central Soviet District as the director of the Suzhou District Sanitary Materials Factory, in that era, the enemy blockaded everywhere, the Soviet area materials were extremely scarce, the basic medical supplies of the Red Army soldiers were difficult to be guaranteed, under this extremely difficult conditions, she led the staff to overcome various difficulties, produced qualified disinfectant gauze and disinfectant cotton for the Red Army on the front line, and ensured the supply of materials, which was really rare at that time.
When the Red Army's Long March was preparing for a strategic shift, when Tang Yizhen was pregnant and about to give birth, she could only stay separated from her husband, and when she was separated from her husband, Lu Dingyi could not rest assured, but she comforted him. At this time, they also had a daughter Ye Ping, who was a few years old, and Tang Yizhen told her husband that she was going to send her daughter to her hometown for foster care. Next, the enemy began to tighten its encirclement of the Sidu area. The following month, Tang Yizhen and others moved to Sidu Guitian, and then gave birth to a boy, named Xiaoding. Before Tang Yizhen's confinement was complete, the Kuomintang army pushed forward to Sidu, and in the face of her infant son, she was forced to tearfully give her son to Fan Qibiao and his wife to raise, and she herself went to dashan with the team to fight guerrillas.
At the beginning of 1935, Tang Yizhen and others were besieged by the Kuomintang army, and due to the excessive disparity between the enemy and our forces, although they resisted stubbornly, they were eventually outnumbered, and finally Tang Yizhen and others were arrested. When Tang Yizhen was arrested, in order to protect a confidential document hidden on her body, she kneaded it into a ball, stuffed it into her mouth and swallowed it, and her move was detected by an enemy army next to her. She was then tortured by the enemy and finally sacrificed under the enemy's butcher's knife.
After liberation, Lu Dingyi moved to Gannan to find the whereabouts of a pair of children, but for various reasons failed to achieve his wishes, in his later years, his longing was even stronger, which was also a wish in front of him. After the efforts of the relevant government departments in Jiangxi and Fujian provinces, his son Xiaoding was first found, and then in a county in Gannan, Jiangxi, he finally found his daughter Yeping. In 1987, the 81-year-old Lu Dingyi was finally reunited with his long-lost relatives at a hostel in Nanchang. On May 9, 1996, Comrade Lu Dingyi died of illness. In accordance with his last wishes, the staff scattered part of his ashes next to the tomb of the martyr Tang Yizhen.
