Jiang Nan told The Health Times that in his work content, emergencies are the most common, there are car accidents, trauma, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accidents, etc., the more the holiday emergency department medical staff is busier, generally related to holiday dinner, outing party.

"Last night's cross-Chinese New Year's Eve night, there was a middle-aged patient with a sudden myocardial infarction, because he and his family celebrated the arrival of the New Year, singing new year's eve in KTV, the patient suddenly felt unwell during the KTV singing, when we rushed to the scene, the patient had weak vital signs, and immediately performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the spot, and immediately after successful resuscitation, he was safely transferred to a nearby top three hospital for further treatment."

Dr. Jiang Nan introduced that a night shift has to take 6-8 trips, and 10 times is more, which is relatively rare. Sometimes when you encounter a person who needs to be rescued, you have to be busy for several hours, and various rescue operations are a huge physical consumption. Due to the sudden emergency of first aid work, it is often impossible to eat, and it has become a habit to bring dry food before leaving the car.

"Patients' conditions don't stop progressing because of the New Year's holidays, which requires us to be there all the time." Xiao Mengmeng, a doctor in the Department of Retroperitoneal Oncology at Peking University International Hospital, told Health Times, "The doctor in charge is the one who is most likely to find out if his patient has a problem because he knows the condition best." ”

Zhang Peng, a doctor in the Respiratory and Critical Care Department of the Emergency General Hospital, has been in this position for 10 years this year, and many of the patients he contacts on weekdays are seriously ill patients.

On the morning of New Year's Day, Dr. Zhang Peng first dealt with the work after the shift, and then went to the ICU to see the situation of seriously ill patients, and then arranged the treatment of more than thirty hospitalized patients today; before he was finished, the emergency department suddenly sent a hemoptysis tumor patient, and it was already afternoon after the treatment. After that, he had to record all the work he had done in the morning and write down the medical records.

"The first year of work is Chinese New Year's Eve on duty, and now there are almost a dozen Spring Festival or New Year's Day duty, when I first went to work, I had a wish that I could rest for 3 consecutive days, but until now I have not realized it."
