Nandu News On March 20, 2020, the "Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening Labor Education in Colleges, Schools, and Primary Schools in the New Era" was issued, requiring effective measures to effectively strengthen labor education and include it in the compulsory courses of colleges, middle schools, and primary schools.

The Guangdong Provincial Department of Education also issued the "Guangdong Provincial Action Plan for Strengthening School Physical Education and Aesthetic Education" in 2019 and 2020, requiring the strengthening of the construction of off-campus labor education practice bases and promoting the construction of a primary and secondary school labor education system with Guangdong characteristics.
However, at present, there are few research and practice education bases for primary and secondary school students at the provincial level in Zhuhai, and the social resources that can carry out labor education in colleges, middle schools, and primary schools are extremely scarce. Most schools are almost unable to effectively carry out extracurricular labor education activities because of the small size of the campus and the limited available land and space resources.
In this regard, Jiang Nan, a deputy to the Zhuhai Municipal People's Congress, put forward the "Suggestions on Comprehensively Strengthening the Labor Education of College, Middle, and Primary School Students in Our City", which includes three measures: expanding the labor education practice base (camp) through multiple channels, building a multi-faceted labor education teacher talent echelon, and building a labor education academic research system at multiple levels.
1. Expand the base (camp) of labor education practice through multiple channels
Jiang Nan suggested that the construction of labor bases should be combined with off-campus and in-school. Schools with the conditions for land and spatial resources for labor education combine their own characteristics to open up places for labor education in schools; unite the forces of social organizations, excavate comprehensive practice bases for local students, and evaluate a number of labor education base (camps); on this basis, the government will fund the construction of a number of labor education practice bases (camps).
2. Build a multi-faceted talent echelon of labor education teachers
Jiang Nan believes that labor education needs educational talents with professional qualities. All major, primary and secondary schools should build a group of professional and relatively stable labor teachers; select diversified outstanding talents in the society, build an echelon of labor teachers who support each other full-time and part-time; and reserve a group of labor education professionals through teacher training in professional labor education.
3. Build an academic research system for labor education at multiple levels
Jiang Nan suggested that the Municipal Education Bureau should play a guiding and leading role in all major, medium, and small schools; the professional forces of all colleges and universities should build a platform for industry-university-research cooperation in colleges and universities, and extensively carry out labor education practice and academic theoretical research.
