The year 1923 was the year of the fiercest struggle, when Stalin was gradually accumulating power and Trotsky was so prestigious that no one could see the situation clearly. The protagonist we are going to talk about today is also the protagonist of this conference, Zinoviev, who, after the October Revolution, together with Lenin, put forward the theory of the proletariat and supported the launching of an armed revolution to overthrow the Provisional Government. Stalin, who was his rival, opposed this practice, believing that the Soviets could supervise the development of the Provisional Government into a democratic republic.
It was precisely because of his hostility to Stalin that Zinoviev, the meeting of the election deputies, put forward his own views, demanding the abolition of the political authorities, requiring himself and his confidants to enter the core organs of power, and posting a letter that was regarded as Lenin's will, and using this popularity to further consolidate his power and weaken Stalin's influence. However, he did not cherish the political position he had gained through continuous struggle, and every time he made a speech, he exaggerated Stalin's authoritarian style and aroused the disgust of countless people, so Zinoviev's position was greatly shaken.
Beginning in 1927, he began to try to set up a separate Party Central Committee and organize various huge demonstrations. This wanton opposition to the Party Central Committee caused great dissatisfaction, and on November 14 of the same year he was expelled from the Party and later reluctantly admitted to the mistake of reinstating the Party. But he did not stop there, and in 1932 he was expelled for trying to split, resumed again in 1933 after admitting his mistake, in 1934 some unclear evidence accused him of assassinating Lenin, and in 1935 he was charged with an ultimatum and a hidden organization, and was shot on August 25 of the same year.
