In the history of Chinese metaphysics, there is a person who is definitely a god-level being. For every Chinese, his reputation is known to everyone and everyone. In particular, his book "Pushing back the map" can predict the events of thousands of years in the future, and is known as the "Book of Ancient Wonders". Therefore, he was also known as the "Living Immortal". This person was Yuan Tiangang, a metaphysician in the late Sui and early Tang dynasties.

Yuan Tiangang, also known as Yuan Tiangang, a native of Chengdu, Yizhou, was a metaphysician and astronomer in the late Sui and early Tang dynasties. Yuan Tiangang was lonely and poor when he was young, but he was very fond of cultivating the art of immortality, and he was also proficient in xiangshu. In his youth, Yuan Tiangang had already achieved a high level of achievement in observing the heavens and measuring auspicious and evil blessings.
Many people came to him to see him. Once, when Yuan Tiangang was meeting, a ragged young man came. This young man wanted Yuan Tiangang to show himself the future of fate. When the crowd saw this ragged young man, they laughed at him for certainly not having a good future. However, Yuan Tiangang looked at this young man, frowned, and said: "The bones on your forehead are bulging, like the jade pillow bone that runs through the back of your head, and your chin is good, and you will definitely establish a great cause in Liangzhou and Yizhou." Later, Yuan Tiangang's words came true. It turned out that the fallen young man who was looking for Yuan Tiangang was Dou Rail, a descendant of the Sui Dynasty Taifu, and then Dou Rail followed Li Shimin around and made great achievements.
A few years later, Dou Rail was appointed as a servant of Yizhou Xingtai. Dou Lu did not forget Yuan Tiangang's words in those years, summoned Yuan Tiangang, and treated him with special courtesy. Yuan Tiangang said to Dou Rail, "Your bone technique has already been fulfilled, and there is no difference from the predictions of the past." However, the red veins in his eyes bulged and crossed the pupils, and when he spoke, the red qi appeared on his face. If you become a general, I am afraid that I will kill many people, and I hope that you will always be on your guard. We must not kill innocents indiscriminately. However, Dou Rail did not listen to Yuan Tiangang's admonition. Within a few years, Dou Rail was removed from his post for indiscriminate killing. When Dou Rail was about to leave, he came to Yuan Tiangang again and said, "What official position can I get next?" Yuan Tiangang said: "The family on your face is sitting without moving, the right half of your chin is shiny and joyful, and you will definitely receive the emperor's favor when you come to the capital, and you will return to this place to take up your post." In this year, Dou Lu was indeed reappointed as the governor of Yizhou. Yuan Tiangang's series of prophecies about Dou Rail were fulfilled one by one, so Yuan Tiangang's fame spread all over the world.
After Li Shimin heard about Yuan Tiangang's mysterious xiangshu, he was very interested in Yuan Tiangang, so he summoned Yuan Tiangang into the palace, and Li Shimin asked Yuan Tiangang when the Tang Dynasty would perish. Yuan Tiangang knew that if this answer could not satisfy the emperor, he might move his head at any time. So Yuan Tiangang said to Li Shimin after several hours of deduction: "When the pig goes up the tree, it is the time when the Tang Dynasty is destroyed." Li Shimin asked again, and Yuan Tiangang was reluctant to say more on the grounds that the heavenly machine would not leak. Li Shimin felt that pigs would never go up the tree, and Yuan Tiangang meant that Tang would never exist and would not perish. Thinking of this, Li Shimin was very happy and gave Yuan Tiangang a rich reward. In the end, the final outcome of the Tang Dynasty was destroyed by Zhu Wen, which also confirmed Yuan Tiangang's prediction that year.
However, Yuan Tiangang's most famous prophecy is still the prediction of Wu Zetian as emperor. The Old Book of Tang records that yuan Tiangang was passing by a family when he heard the loud cry of a baby coming from the house. Yuan Tiangang immediately heard that this child was not an ordinary child, so he pushed the door and entered the family's home. I saw a baby crying in the swaddling. A woman picked up the crying baby and found Yuan Tiangang. Yuan Tiangang said that he was looking for a baby and came crying. The woman quickly asked Yuan Tiangang to show the baby. When Yuan Tiangang saw the infant in the swaddling, he was shocked and exclaimed, "Dragon pupil phoenix neck, extremely expensive test also!" If you are a woman, be a Son of Heaven. That is to say, "If this child is a woman, it is to be the son of heaven!" When the woman heard this, she said sarcastically, "It is true that it is a girl, but I have never heard that a woman can become an emperor." The woman suspected that Yuan Tiangang was swindling and drove Yuan Tiangang out. But later, Yuan Tiangang's prophecy came true again. The Tang Dynasty did produce a female emperor, and the baby that Yuan Tiangang looked at was Wu Zetian in his childhood.
In addition to showing people the fortune-telling, Yuan Tiangang also knew his fate very well. On the occasion of resigning his official position and returning to his hometown, Gao Shilian, the Duke of Shenguo, practiced for Yuan Tiangang, and Gao Shilian asked Yuan Tiangang what his plans were behind. Yuan Tiangang replied, "Next year my life should be exhausted, so I only plan to return to my hometown and have no other plans." "But people didn't believe that Yuan Tiangang could calculate his own destiny, but in the spring of the next day, Yuan Tiangang really died." The people of the world were all amazed by Yuan Tiangang's divine calculation, not only to ask about the future fate of others, but also to calculate their own fate clearly.
Yuan Tiangang's phase technique was magical, and he reached the peak. In his lifetime, he predicted the number of lives for about 13 people, and in the end, there was no mistake, all of them were fulfilled, which can really be described as "no ancients before, no one after".
