Nearly 50 intangible cultural heritage projects appeared at the 5th Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Traditional Craft Expo

The 5th Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Traditional Craft Expo Changsha was launched.

Changsha, December 31 (Deng Xia, Wanli) On December 31, the Fifth Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Traditional Craft Expo was launched in Changsha, and the inheritors of nearly 50 intangible cultural heritage projects in 14 cities and prefectures in Hunan brought their products to the scene to show the charm of intangible cultural heritage traditional crafts.

In addition to the main venue of Du Fujiang Pavilion, the expo also set up a sub-venue in the Hunan Provincial Cultural Center, through special exhibitions, on-site display of inheritors, exhibition and sales of traditional craft products, intangible cultural heritage performance projects and intangible cultural heritage research experience and other activities, to fully display the traditional cultural connotation and unique charm of Hunan intangible cultural heritage.

The reporter saw at the Hunan Provincial Cultural Center that the traditional Xiang flavor intangible cultural heritage goods such as Pingjiang xianggan and Changle sweet wine displayed on the spot were dazzling, and the intangible cultural heritage skills and products such as stepping on the tiger chiseled flowers and Liuyang Xiabu were also dazzling. Yang Guijun, the provincial inheritor of the tiger chisel flower, has participated in many meetings, and his works are quite popular with the public. He said that he hopes that more and more people will understand, love and learn to chisel flowers, so that this skill can continue forever.

The Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Study Experience is a highlight of the Expo. The organizers organized representative inheritors of the four intangible cultural heritage projects of golden pestle face sculpture making technology, beachhead woodblock prints, stone drum oil paper (cloth) umbrella making technology, and nuclear carving technology to teach handicraft production on the spot, tell the origin and allusion of the technique, and attracted many people to participate.

At the event site, there were also Tujia family hand-waving dance performances, Taoyuan tea customs handmade display, "Baoqing brand painting - Huxiang New Year Customs, Huxiang Old Trade Series Exhibition" and "Thin Shi Light Dyeing" Chen Yanglong Underglaze Five-Colored Porcelain Art Inheritance and Protection Achievements Exhibition. Ye Weiping, secretary of the party committee and director of the Hunan Provincial Cultural Center and director of the Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, said that intangible cultural heritage is the eternal spiritual homeland of the Chinese nation and an important part of the Chinese story. It is hoped that the people of the province, especially the young people, will pay more attention to the Huxiang Intangible Cultural Heritage, which has been handed down for thousands of years, deeply understand the story behind it, learn relevant cultural knowledge and skills, understand the wisdom and creation of the ancestors, and feel the profundity of traditional culture.

The expo was hosted by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hunan Province, hosted by the Hunan Provincial Cultural Center (Hunan Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center), and co-organized by Changsha Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center and Hunan Vocational College of Arts and Crafts, for a total of three days.
