Fool asked the young doorman, and he said that his master had gone to the mountain to collect medicine.
I only knew that on that mountain, but I didn't know where he was.
In the poem, the hermit goes up the mountain to collect medicinal herbs and help the poor, he is a real hermit, which is why Jia Dao admires him so much. The white clouds in the poem are noble, and Cang Song praises its elegant style. Praying to the door without encountering him highlights his sense of loss.
