According to BYD's official introduction, on December 27, BYD delivered the first Han EV to the Lao Prime Minister's Office in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. This is another important milestone for BYD to promote the development of the new energy industry in the local area.

As BYD's flagship model, HanEV is equipped with cutting-edge technology, using ultra-safe blade batteries, accelerating up to 3.9S per 100 kilometers, and achieving a wind resistance coefficient of 0.233Cd, making the acceleration experience comparable to that of a supercar. Mr. Ongposi, Chief of Staff of the Lao Prime Minister's Office Khamjane Vongphosy said that the Lao government will vigorously support the development of pure electric vehicles in the future and introduce supporting measures. I hope to cooperate with China in the development of new energy vehicles in the future.
According to BYD's official information, in 2020, former Laos Prime Minister Thong lun Sisuri visited byBYD Xi'an Industrial Park, hoping to introduce more BYD new energy vehicles to Laos. In October this year, the Lao government announced that all government car purchases and replacement cars will give priority to pure electric vehicles.
In May this year, the Lao National Power Company purchased the first batch of electric vehicles as the group's official vehicles for operation in the capital Vientiane, including byd byddy e2 pure electric vehicles. In July, the first batch of 28 BYD new energy vehicles in the Vientiane Sai se Pagoda Low Carbon Demonstration Zone, a South-South cooperation project to assist China and Laos in coping with climate change, were successfully launched, including 12 C8 pure electric buses, 8 T5Ds, and 8 yuan EVs. In September, BYD and LOCA, the largest online ride-hailing platform in Laos, officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
BYD said that in the future, it will exert its efforts in the pure electric passenger car segment in Laos, and plans to deliver 100 pure electric passenger cars to the local area in the first quarter of 2022. At present, BYD ranks first in the market share of pure electric vehicles in Laos.
