Fuzhou mountains and rivers are interdependent, the river kisses the sea, there are mountains in the city, there are cities in the mountains, it is a national historical and cultural city with a beautiful environment, and the ancient architecture of Fuzhou is one of the elements that constitute a famous historical and cultural city. In the 1990s, during his work in Fuzhou, General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward important ideas and concepts for the protection of cultural heritage and explored and practiced them, and a large number of important cultural heritages were effectively protected, leaving valuable material and spiritual wealth for Fuzhou. On March 24 this year, General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed during his inspection in Fuzhou that to protect traditional neighborhoods, protect ancient buildings, and protect cultural relics is to preserve the history and context of the city and preserve excellent historical and cultural traditions.
Minhou as the "eight Fujian shouyi", 5,000 years ago the Azushi Mountain culture originated here, Fujian civilization also began here. The long history and profound heritage have left a wealth of cultural relics resources for this hot land, which is the carrier of history, but also the integration of culture and science and technology, art and use, engraved with the evolution of the survival and development of the people of Shouyi.
In recent years, Minhou County has deeply implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on the protection of cultural heritage, continued to promote the protection of cultural heritage, in order to better protect the historical resources such as the Minhou Ancient Home, let the old Minhou people retain their memories, let the new Minhou people remember the nostalgia, the Propaganda Department of the Minhou County CPC Committee, the Minhou County Literary and Art Circles Federation, and the Fuzhou Artists Association jointly sponsored the "Carrying Nostalgia and Retaining The Memory" Minhou Ancient Home Sketching And Creation Activities, organizing hundreds of artists to carry out ancient homework sketching. And widely collected excellent sketches of Minhou Gucuo. After careful selection by the judging committee, more than 100 works were selected for display, and the participating works had a unique perspective and novel form, presenting the past and present of Minhou through different angles, using pen and ink to retain the ancient buildings and cultural relics of Minhou that contain rich historical and cultural information, the nostalgia of the wanderers was pinned here, and the dreams of the ancestors were precipitated here.
We hope that the majority of artists will more consciously undertake the historical mission, watch over the ancient houses, continue the context, contribute to the promotion of the protection of ancient buildings in Minhou, carry forward the excellent traditional culture of Minhou, and continue to spread the good voice of Minhou and tell the good stories of Minhou in the form of art. Let us stand on the beautiful land of Minhou, listen to her beating pulse, and feel her ancient and youthful, poetic and magnificent.
