Yesterday was the first anniversary of the countdown to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. On the morning of the same day, the reporter learned from the Yangzhou Municipal Sports Bureau and the Fuchun Group that the countdown to the first anniversary of the Winter Olympics initiated by the Fuchun Group and the Yangzhou Olympic Torchbearers Public Welfare Association was held at the Fuchun Tea House, and Wu Yuzhi, the "post-80s" chef of the Huaiyang West Point White Case of the Fuchun Tea House, also specially used a mille-feuille oil cake to make a "commemorative cake" overnight for this special day.

A year later, the ski race for the Beijing Winter Olympics will be held in Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. In 2019, the "Chongli Menu" Chinese Cooking Masters Invitational Tournament was held in Zhangjiakou, and 6 dishes in Yangzhou, including Yangzhou fried rice, crab powder lion's head, three sets of ducks, Guifei Xishi milk, three dices, and mille-feuille oil cake, were successfully selected for the "Chongli Menu" and will participate in the service of the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

At 10:00 a.m. yesterday, at the commemoration event, Wu Yuzhi brought out a plate of mille-feuille oil cake with the words "Commemorating the First Anniversary of the Countdown to the Beijing Winter Olympics" as a tribute to the Winter Olympics.

"This thousand-layer oil cake is 35 centimeters wide and 45 centimeters long, which is the size of the whole mille-feuille cake in the back kitchen of Fuchun Tea House, and the oil cake is usually placed on the surface of red and green silk, and today we borrowed the practice of Yangzhou engraving and printing to add a little sense of ceremony." Wu Yuzhi said.

It is understood that Wu Yuzhi was born in 1984 and is the municipal inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage "Fuchun Refreshment Making Technique". The "Chongli Menu" includes a total of 300 dishes developed in Hebei Province, 60 dishes from other provinces and cities, and two dishes in Yangzhou Huaiyang. "Three-diced buns were selected as a pastry category, and mille-feuille cakes were selected as snacks." Xu Yinghong, general manager of Fuchun Group, told reporters that the three-ding bun is a famous point in Yangzhou, with flour fermentation and filling fine victory, pure taste and natural face in line with the health needs of modern people, very suitable for the Winter Olympics large-scale international events; the production technique of mille-feuille cake is unique in the country, it is soft and sweet, the layers are clear, and it is a good choice to serve the Winter Olympics as a snack.
