This afternoon, a two-person exhibition of paintings by Shanghai oil painter Sun Jiapei and Dutch artist Jan Peter van Opheusden opened in the "Hemeihui" art gallery of the Equatorial Hotel in Shanghai. Sponsored by the Shanghai International Cultural Exchange Association, the exhibition is entitled "Dialogue between Realism and Surrealism", exhibiting nearly 60 works, and the works of the two artists constitute a number of series such as "European Water City", "Jiangnan Water Town", "Shanghai Impression" and so on, they use magic brushes to transform the real world into human beautiful emotions, and people from different backgrounds can feel the common beauty. In response to the requirements of epidemic prevention, the opening activity of the exhibition was changed to a donation ceremony, and the artist Sun Jiapei and representative Hu Xiaomang donated works to the organizer Shanghai International Cultural Exchange Association and the organizer Shanghai International Equatorial Hotel.
As a landscape painter, Sun Jiapei is good at excavating the affection of art from an ordinary corner, and the air, light and water coexist harmoniously, warm and stable like a dream. This illusion is so realistic that those delicate lights and shadows have obviously been experienced in memory, but there is nowhere to find this scene, which is beautiful and poetic, and seems to belong only to the fairyland in the dream. The works of the Dutch artist Jean Peter van Ofensden, who are deeply influenced by surrealism, have bright colors and strong contrasts, cleverly chimering figurative expressions and abstract picture scenes, through the depiction of familiar scenes and objects in life, they are misplaced and deformed, turning the canvas into a stage, the strange combination between images and images, scenes and scenes, seemingly innocent and grotesque, but has a sense of eternity beyond time and space.

Sun Jiapei's Old Bungalow on Xinhua Road, the Romantic Balcony on Wukang Road and the Zhou Mansion on Sinan Road freeze the beauty of its light and shadow on the screen from a new angle, and the hazy artistic conception of the picture meets the imagery that has been hidden in the audience's heart for a long time and is difficult to reveal, and life, soul and hope are laid out on the picture, resulting in reassuring happiness. And dutch artist Jean Peter van Ovfensden's Hengshan Road Street Scene series vividly depicts the vitality and dynamics of Shanghai, and the rich colors of the city reveal a natural and natural romance, under his surrealist depiction, dream and reality, time and space, there is a kind of filtered happiness and enthusiasm, true and pure warmth.
