According to the website of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism issued an announcement on the cancellation of the qualifications of Yuan Renguo and other 5 representative inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage, the full text of which is as follows:

In accordance with the provisions of Item 4 of Article 22 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Intangible Cultural Heritage and the Measures for the Identification and Management of Representative Inheritors of National Intangible Cultural Heritage (Decree No. 3 of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism), the Ministry of Culture and Tourism decided to revoke the qualifications of Qiao Yueliang, Xu Dongjin, Jiang Lianggen, Yuan Renguo and Luo Xiaoyun as representative inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage.
