At the press conference held by the Ministry of Public Security on December 27, Li Jiangping, director of the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, introduced that in recent years, with the sustained and rapid development of China's economy and society, the number of motor vehicles and drivers has continued to grow at a high level. Up to now, the number of motor vehicles in China has reached 393 million (more than 300 million cars) and 479 million drivers; more than 30 million newly registered motor vehicles and more than 20 million newly licensed drivers every year, ranking first in the world in terms of total volume and increment.
