How do painters depict garden art?

In China's traditional paintings of more than 1,000 years, "garden" is an extremely important creative motif, which has been repeatedly depicted by famous artists throughout the ages. Traditional Yajitu, Xingletu, Alias, Jiyoutu, etc., the gardens are all used as the background, and the artist's ambition to cultivate morality and firm ambition is expressed in the landscape of mountains and rivers, and undertakes the important mission of constructing an ideal personality. The so-called garden painting is neither a product of imagination nor a recording of the garden scenery, but a reproduction of the picture in the heart by relying on the beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers, lakes, stones, flowers and trees, using a unique painting language and technique, after selection and trade-off. However, how to examine and represent traditional gardens from a contemporary perspective, and create garden paintings that walk with the new era and have a unique personal language? This has become the direction of group thinking, practice and exploration of painters at the Beijing Academy of Painting. At the recently held "Juyu Caizhen - Beijing Academy of Painting Garden Theme Works Exhibition", 65 pieces (sets) of garden-themed art works contrasted with the original environment of the garden, the painter's thinking and perception, and the garden poems and garden notes made by the ancients, comprehensively and three-dimensionally presenting the audience with the "peach blossom garden" in the hearts of the literati and inkers from ancient times to the present.
