There was such a father and son in the Northeast Army, both high-ranking officials, one was Zhang Xueliang's chief of staff, and the other was Zhang Xueliang's guard captain. Most of the officers of the Northeast Army had a firm determination to resist Japan and save the country and return to their hometown, but during the War of Resistance Against Japan, the father and son actually defected to Japan one after another and became despised traitors.

His father's name was Rong Zhen, Zaoqiang County, Hebei Province, born in 1889, after graduating from the Baoding Army Officer School, he was assigned to serve in the Fengjun Li Jinglin Department, in the Northeast Army he was deeply trusted by Zhang Zuolin, Zhang Xueliang's father and son, and the chief of staff of the Office of the Commander of the Northeast Army, a member of the Beiping Branch of the Military Commission of the State Government, and a standing committee member.
In 1932, after the Japanese army invaded and occupied North China, Rong Zhen joined the Japanese puppet regime without saying a word, became a traitor, and joined the Wang puppet regime in 1943, successively serving as deputy director of the pseudo-North China "Public Security Bureau", deputy commander-in-chief of the pseudo-North China "Public Security Army", and pseudo-Hebei Governor.
The son is named Rong Ziheng, the eldest son of Rong Zhen, born in 1905, graduated from the Japanese Army Non-Commissioned Officer School, under the arrangement of his father, he served as a captain in the Northeast Army's Lecture Hall, a major weapons instructor, and the captain of the 3rd team of Zhang Xueliang's guards. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Rong Ziheng also did some major anti-Japanese events, such as his bloody battle in Jiangyin with his troops, and he escaped from Nanjing. In January 1938, Rong Ziheng was promoted to major general of the 334th Brigade of the 112th Division, and he led his troops to carry out guerrilla operations against Japan in northern Jiangsu and Lunan, and cooperated with the Eighth Route Army.
However, in June 1943, due to the influence of the "922 Hoe Rape" and the "83Rd Uprising", which shook the confidence of the victory against Japan, he joined the old father of the Traitor for many years to unremittingly win the work, he also followed in his father's footsteps, disregarded the national righteousness, led his troops into the embrace of the Wang puppet regime, and was appointed by the Wang puppet regime as the commander of the 10th Army.
Everyone knows that if you surrender to the enemy and become a traitor, you will certainly be judged by history and the people, and you will not have a good end. So what happened to the traitorous father and son?
First of all, let's talk about the traitor's son Rong Ziheng.
Rong Ziheng defected to the enemy and became a traitor, naturally moving towards the opposite side of the Chinese nation, and the state government officially issued an order to arrest Rong Ziheng and exempted him from all official awards. As far as the Eighth Route Army was concerned, it used to be a friendly army that cooperated with him to resist Japan, but now that he has become an enemy army, it must be resolutely dealt a blow.
In May 1944, the Lunan Military Region of the Eighth Route Army carried out the first crusade against the Rongzi Hengbu puppet army south of Fei County with the strength of two regiments and eight independent battalions, and in five days directly destroyed one of his divisions and another regiment (he only had three divisions in total, more than 10,000 people), leaving only the remnants of 3,000 people to flee to Linyi, and finally occupy Si County.
In February 1945, the Eighth Route Army launched another crusade against the remnants of Rong Ziheng's 10th Army, and Rong Ziheng was shot and killed on the way from the East Gate, and only lived for 40 years.
When the traitor did not have a good end, when Rong Zhen learned of his son's fate, he must have issued such an exclamation in his heart.
After the founding of New China, Rongzhen became the target of our party's united front, and died of illness in 1960 at the age of 71.
