This year, the high-end card slot war for mobile phones has continued, and the battle for the high-end PC market has also been quite fierce.
On December 23, Huawei launched the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 notebook at the winter flagship conference, which is also the annual flagship product of Huawei's PC array, mainly for the high-end market, targeting business people, professionals and white-collar workers in the workplace.
At present, the surge in demand for online office has led to the high growth of the PC market in the past two years. According to the TrendForce Jibang Consulting report, the overall laptop shipment is expected to reach 240 million units in 2021, an annual increase of 16.4%.
In the face of a growing market, the highly homogeneous laptop market is opening a new round of upgrading competition. Since the fourth quarter of 2021, the PC market has ushered in the Wave of Windows 11 replacements, and in the high-end notebook market, giants are also accelerating the construction of new capabilities to break through.
On the one hand, the interconnection and collaboration between terminal devices such as PCs and mobile phones has become a necessary capability, and manufacturers have continuously strengthened the connection between desktop and mobile ecosystems.
From the demand side, the "Nine New Consumer Trends of Notebook Computers in 2020" report proposes that in addition to paying attention to comprehensive performance and overall design when consumers buy notebooks, intelligent interaction has become a new focus when consumers buy.
The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 model focuses on the characteristics of intelligent interaction, according to the scene, this computer is equipped with the "HyperTerminal" function for the first time, and through the Happy Mobile App to achieve computer-to-mobile application compatibility.
Specifically, it is to use a simpler "light pull" connection method to make the computer and mobile phones, tablets, monitors and other devices interconnected, and also added the interconnection of smart screens. Behind the hyperterminal is Huawei's distributed technology, which opens up the functions of the Windows PC and mobile device ecosystems, making the two terminal systems communicate and interact without hindrance.
In fact, Huawei has also explored in this field, in 2019, Huawei began to launch the "one touch pass" function, and then launched the "multi-screen collaboration", from the bottom of the system to open up the gap between Windows computers and mobile devices, to achieve a seamless cross-device collaborative experience effect. In September this year, the function of the Lexiang mobile App was introduced, from the ecological integration level, so that laptops can also use mobile apps, and computers can also play mobile phones.
Judging from the latest actions of major PC manufacturers, multi-terminal collaboration and multi-scenario interoperability have actually become the common direction of the industry. Especially in the office scene, there is an increasing demand for mobile phone applications through PC and mobile phone interconnection and operation on THE PC, and users hope to further improve work efficiency through multi-screen operation and multi-task windows.
On the other hand, manufacturers continue to exert efforts in hard power such as performance, heat dissipation, and screen, which is also the chassis of high-end products. For example, in order to balance the thinness and performance of the notebook, Huawei's MateBook X Pro 2022 has strengthened the WiFi antenna process of the air outlet and developed the narrowest antenna in the industry.
In terms of screens, Huawei also launched the world's first laptop screen with T T Rheinland professional two-color gamut color accuracy certification, achieving P3 and sRGB dual-gamut average ΔE
It can be seen that in the era of internet of everything, the competition of intelligent terminals is not only the competition of the performance of a single product, but also the competition of comprehensive hardware strength and ecosystem level. Bringing intelligent experience through collaborative innovation of soft and hard ecosystems has become the key to the PC industry to compete for the high-end market.
Taking the core office scenario of PC as an example, Wang Yinfeng, president of Huawei's consumer business tablet and PC product line, told reporters at the communication meeting: "Huawei's smart office has two core capabilities, one is ecological integration, and the other is device collaboration. In the early years, when the notebook first came out, the application ecology of the PC was biased towards creative content, and then there were a lot of consumer application ecology on the mobile phone. These two ecosystems were previously two separate ecosystems, and Huawei hopes to integrate the two ecosystems. ”
As giants such as Huawei update their underlying capabilities to achieve cross-device interconnection of mobile phone PCs and other terminals, the ecological competition in the PC industry will launch a new competition in the future.
