At the age of 8, Wen Xiu attended the private Tun ben Primary School in Huashi, and changed her name to Fu Yufang after going to school, she was talented and loved to learn.
At the age of 14, the elders of the Erdet family wanted to revive the declining family, so the fifth uncle of Wenxiu handed over the photo of Wenxiu to the palace, and was then selected to enter the palace.
However, Puyi did not stay overnight at the Wenxiu office on the day of the wedding, nor did he live there since, and he has always lived in the Yangxin Hall.
Leave the Forbidden City
Wen Xiu was educated in the West since childhood, knew a lot of knowledge, and had a good relationship with Puyi at the beginning, and Puyi had specially hired female teachers for her.
However, after the Beiyang government violated the Edict of abdication of the Qing Emperor, the people in the Forbidden City were driven out of the imperial palace, and Puyi and his concubines became ordinary people.
They came to Tianjin and lived on a large amount of silver that Puyi took when they left the palace, and after Puyi took Wanrong to various dance parties, Wen Xiu was not interested in these.
After coming to Tianjin, because of the competition for favors, the relationship between Wenxiu and Wanrong became tense, and Wenxiu, who had no friends, was lonely in Tianjin.
Outspoken but disgusted

Puyi was very happy, but Wen Xiuzhi believed that there was deception and did not agree to cooperate, but it attracted Puyi's disgust and snubbed Wen Xiu even more. No matter what he did, he only took a graceful face, and seemed to forget that there was also Wen Xiu.
Divorced from the Emperor
Wen Xiu's situation became more and more tragic, and he had the intention of divorcing Puyi, and in August 1931, his sister Wen Shan used the excuse of distraction to take Wen Xiu out of Puyi's mansion.
After that, Wen Xiu published a newspaper, saying that Puyi had abused him for a long time, and bluntly said that Puyi was physically defective and had never spoiled her in nine years of living together.
Puyi thought that this matter was very humiliating, and sent people to persuade Wanrong many times, but Wenxiu insisted on divorce, and finally signed a divorce agreement on October 22, 1931, and Wenxiu received 55,000 yuan in living expenses. She also became the first woman in Chinese history to divorce the emperor.
A miserable life after a divorce
Wen Xiu, who resumed being single, first returned to Beiping, but the family had long since declined, and she could only survive on her own, she first restored Fu Yufang's name, and then became a teacher, with her own skills, Wen Xiu had a lot of students liked.
But then someone learned Wenxiu's true identity, and many reporters came to interview and report on her, because of embarrassment, Wenxiu had to quit her beloved teaching profession.
After the July 7 Incident, WenXiu's life became more and more difficult, the police came to blackmail her, she had to sell her own house, and later Wenxiu also worked as a paste carton, a coolie, and a cigarette seller.
Meet true love
After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Wen Xiu was introduced by a friend and worked as a proofreader in the North China Daily, because of her serious work, the leader introduced her to Liu Zhendong as a wife.
After half a year of understanding and getting along, the two got married, and Wenxiu enjoyed the happy life of an ordinary family.
After the liberation of Peiping, Liu Zhendong was put on the hat of historical counter-revolution, and later because of his good performance, Liu Zhendong lifted the supervision restrictions, and the state assigned him a job as a cleaning worker.
In September 1953, Wen Xiu suffered a sudden heart attack at home and died at the age of 44, and finally Liu Zhendong learned that his wife had once been an imperial concubine.
Liu Zhendong's cleaning team then helped nail a wooden coffin and buried the embroidery in the Gongyi cemetery outside Andingmen in Beijing.
