The Japanese troops in the turret surrendered, but the japanese right-wingers still did not realize their mistake. They distort history, portray themselves as victims, and disregard world peace. 76 years have passed quietly, the war has long been over, but the war launched by Japan has brought us great trauma and is still unforgettable to this day. Among the countless victims of the war, there is a group of people who are particularly distressing to us, that is, the comfort women group.
Every year, 14 August is The World Comfort Women's Day, which commemorates the comfort women who have been bullied in the war, and they are only a group of women without the strength of chickens, but they have been subjected to more difficult pain and humiliation than ordinary people in the war. In 2017, the movie "Twenty-Two" was released, and he recorded the only twenty-two remaining comfort women survivors in China. During the protracted fourteen-year War of Resistance Against Japan, at least 200,000 women were reduced to comfort women of the Japanese army, and now there are only 22 left, and this number is still decreasing.
In 1944, the Japanese army attacked Nanning and occupied Wei Shaolan's village, which immediately launched a large-scale massacre and bullying. Wei Shaolan's family did not escape the clutches of the Japanese army. At that time, the Invading Japanese Army looked at her beautifully, so they abducted Wei Shaolan and forced her to serve as a comfort woman for the Japanese army. For three months, Wei Shaolan, who was only 24 years old and at the right age, spent three months that were worse than death. During this period, Wei Shaolan tried to kill herself many times to escape the clutches of the Japanese, but she thought that her newborn daughter could only grit her teeth and persevere. The daughter was the only light and hope for Wei Shaolan in those three months.
Wei Shaolan pretended to submit to the Japanese while waiting for an opportunity to escape. Finally, one day after being taken captive for three months, Wei Shaolan took advantage of the fact that the Japanese guards were not paying attention and escaped from the small dark house where the light of day was not seen. Sadly, her beloved daughter did not survive because the living conditions were too harsh and died early. Wei Shaolan fled all the way home, and in the face of the concern and inquiry of his mother-in-law and husband, Wei Shaolan could only bear the humiliation in his heart, and did not say a word but silently shed tears. Fortunately, the Japanese army was gradually defeated in the war, and there was no time to take care of Wei Shaolan, who fled, which allowed their family to barely survive.
But then came the pain and humiliation that accompanied Wei Shaolan throughout her life, and she found herself pregnant with a Japanese child. Wei Shaolan, who had just lost his daughter, was embarrassed by the enemy's child, but finally asked her husband to keep the child. After all, in the cruel war, the unborn child in the womb is innocent. Wei Shaolan's mother-in-law also sympathized with Wei Shaolan and jointly persuaded to leave the child behind, and named it Luo Shanxue. Even if the husband did not agree with Wei Shaolan's approach, he eventually acquiesced.
A year later, the War of Resistance Against Japan was victorious and the Japanese surrendered. However, the damage inflicted on Wei Shaolan by the Japanese invaders could never be resolved. The village is full of people and rumors, and under the intentional or unintentional legends of everyone, the fact that Wei Shaolan was pregnant with a Japanese child was soon known. Villagers pointed fingers behind the back of The Wei Shaolan family, calling Luo Shanxue a "Japanese cub." The villagers' hatred for the Japanese army could not be vented, and they could only turn to attacking the Wei Shaolan family. In this way, Luo Shanxue grew up in a malicious environment, never married a wife, and lived alone. Sometimes he would complain about why his mother had given birth to himself and allowed herself to grow up in a gossipy environment.
In 2010, Luo Shanxue traveled to Japan, and Luo Shanxue and his mother, who had been haunted by the "Japanese cub" all their lives, hoped to get the japanese invaders to admit their mistakes and apologize. However, the Japanese Government, especially the right-wing forces, refused to acknowledge the fact of aggression against China, distorted history, and even more vainly apologized to the victims, and openly visited the Yasukuni Shrine every year to enshrine Class-A war criminals. These actions have been greatly hated by Wei Shaolan and Luo Shan scholars, and they have also been criticized by the peace-loving peoples of the world. In regret, Wei Shaolan died nine years later at the age of 99, and she did not receive apologies and confessions from the Japanese army in her life. Luo Shanxue has now become a white-haired old man, but he has always been difficult to let go of the hurt he has suffered in the past. Wei Shaolan is the epitome of the thousands of persecuted Chinese of that era, and there are many such families in our country. So we can't forgive and we can't forget.
We are waiting for them to apologize, but they want us to forget. The surviving comfort women are gradually passing away, but history cannot be forgotten. One day, all those who have gone through this great war will pass away, and we will not forget the numerous crimes committed by the Japanese army invading China on our national soil. Taking history as a mirror, we can know the rise and fall. We remember this history not for the sake of hatred, but to warn future generations to cherish this hard-won peace.
