Japan wants to set up a consulate in Sichuan, and Liu Xiang warned: Ordinary people are not responsible for killing the Japanese

The History Inn has written a fragment before, let's review it first-

In early July 1937, He Yingqin reorganized the army in Chongqing, so the second reorganization involved the interests of the Sichuan army, and many Sichuan army generals were very resistant, and even claimed that if He Yingqin dared to weaken the Sichuan army, the Sichuan army would withdraw from the Nanjing government. He Yingqin had nothing to do, and the whole army was at an impasse.

However, when the news of the July 7 Incident came, all the generals of the Sichuan Army were indignant and immediately went to He Yingqin and said: "

As long as you can go north to resist Japan, no matter what conditions Nanjing proposes, you will agree! Even if you wipe out the Sichuan army, you must drive the devils out!

Japan wants to set up a consulate in Sichuan, and Liu Xiang warned: Ordinary people are not responsible for killing the Japanese

This clip is very bloody, and countless readers praise Chuan jun. In fact, if we can understand the contradiction between Liu Xiang, the boss of the Sichuan Army at that time, and Chiang Kai-shek, this move of the Sichuan Army is even more respectable.

As everyone knows, although Chiang Kai-shek claims to have unified the whole country, this is only nominal, and in fact, the warlords in various localities are still acting independently and do not listen to Chiang Kai-shek at all, which makes the old Chiang Kai-shek very troubled. Especially in Sichuan, old Jiang has always wanted to intervene, but Liu Xiang, the boss of Sichuan, has also been violating his yang and yin.

Chiang Kai-shek once sent people to Sichuan to train county politicians, and Liu Xiang said that if Chairman He Lao bothered about such a trivial matter, the Sichuan government could do it. Later, the two men each made a concession, with Liu Xiang as the main and Chiang Kai-shek sending people as their deputies.

Liu Xiang was afraid that Chiang Kai-shek would win over Sichuan officials, so He asked Deng Hanxiang to tell more than four hundred Sichuan officials: "We are all Sichuanese, and we will still have to eat Chairman Liu's meal in the future. Of course, these people all listened to Liu Xiang, and Chiang Kai-shek couldn't splash the water and was busy in vain.

Chiang Kai-shek could not enter Sichuan, and the Japanese would not let him enter. In August 1936, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Liu Xiang that Japan would set up a consulate in Chengdu. Liu Xiang called back and said: There are no Japanese expatriates in Sichuan, and there is too much to set up a consulate. He also said: When Japan occupies northeast China, the Sichuan people are indignant, and if Japanese diplomats come to Sichuan, who is responsible for being beaten?

The Japanese did not listen, forced themselves to come and investigate, and stayed at the Okawa Hotel. Liu Xiang sent someone to tell the Japanese:

Chengdu will not set up a Japanese consulate, and if the people kill the Japanese, they will not be responsible.

The Japanese ignored it, and Liu Xiang secretly sent people to expose the photos of the Japanese collecting intelligence in Sichuan, and the Sichuan masses were furious and surrounded the Japanese with fat beatings and killed two ghosts.

Chiang Kai-shek was very angry and sent a telegram to accuse Liu Xiang of protecting the diplomats unfavorably, and Liu Xiang said: "This matter has nothing to do with my dime, it is all done by the masses, the masses are out of patriotism, can I not let them be patriotic?" Chiang Kai-shek was dumbfounded.

What made Chiang Kai-shek even more dissatisfied with Liu Xiang was the Xi'an incident. After the old Jiang was detained by Zhang Xueliang in Xi'an, He Yingqin advocated bombing Xi'an, forcing Zhang Xueliang to kill Jiang and replace him. At the same time, He Yingqin also sent people to win Liu Xiang over and oppose Jiang together. But before Liu Xiang could express his position, Zhang Xueliang let Chiang Kai-shek go, and the old Chiang later investigated that Liu Xiang had colluded with He Yingqin and gritted his teeth in anger.

A month before the July 7 Incident, Chiang Kai-shek asked Liu Xiang to send people to Nanjing to discuss matters, and Liu Xiang sent Deng Hanxiang to go. Chiang Kai-shek said to Deng Hanxiang: "Sichuan is equivalent to a big country in Europe, and there are too many military, government, and civil affairs, and I am afraid that Liu Fucheng (Liu Xiangzi Fucheng) is not in good health and will not be able to get busy." There are too many troops in Sichuan, which should be reduced, and the chairman of the Sichuan provincial government, I also sent people over, so that Fu Cheng would not have to be so tired. ”

Of course, Deng Hanxiang would not agree, explained a lot, old Jiang just did not listen, and finally, Deng Hanxiang dropped a sentence: "If the chairman of the committee is in a hurry, Liu Xiang will inevitably jump the wall in a hurry, and it will not be good for you at all!" ”

It was against this background that after the July 7 Incident, Liu Xiang unconditionally obeyed Chiang Kai-shek and poured all his strength into Sichuan to resist the war, which became even more precious.

Liu Xiang was appointed commander of the Seventh Theater and led 300,000 Sichuan troops out of Sichuan to resist the war. At that time, Liu Xiang's health was very bad, and Deng Hanxiang advised him not to move lightly and stay in Sichuan to preside over the overall situation, but Liu Xiang said: "

In the past, after fighting a civil war for many years, his face was not very honorable, and today he serves the country, how can he be safe in the rear?

Unfortunately, Liu Xiang died before he could get out of school, and died of a serious illness on January 20, 1938, at the age of 50.

Before his death, Liu Xiang left that famous will -

Yu was ordered to go out to resist Japan this time, with the intention of going to the front enemy, fighting for the survival of the nation, striving for glory for Sichuan, and fulfilling the duty of a soldier. Unexpectedly, the disease recurred, and it was not fulfilled. In the future, we hope that the military and people of our country will continue to fight the war to the end under the leadership of the central government and Supreme Leader Chairman Chiang Kai-shek.

Especially looking forward to my Kawachu robe, a book of this ambition, always unswerving. That is to say, the enemy army will not withdraw from the border for a day, and the Sichuan army will not return to its hometown for a day, in order to win the final victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and to achieve the goal of independence and freedom of the Chinese nation.

This order.
