BYD power battery phase II project signed in Ji sun Licheng Wang Chuanfu witnessed the signing

On the afternoon of December 22, the signing activity of the second phase of the power battery project between the Management Committee of Jinan High-tech Zone and BYD Co., Ltd. was held at Yaoqiang International Airport. Sun Licheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, and Wang Chuanfu, chairman and president of BYD Group, witnessed the signing of the project.

Since the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Jinan Municipal Government and BYD Co., Ltd. in August 2021, the cooperation between the two sides has been smoothly promoted. The power battery project in Jinan is the main production base of BYD blade batteries, using the world's leading latest generation of fully automated lithium battery production process, providing power battery series solutions to customers around the world. Blade batteries have more than 300 patents, the volume ratio energy density increased by 50%, passed the battery industry's most stringent needle prick experiment, widely welcomed by the market, set a benchmark for electric vehicle safety. The power battery project is divided into two phases, of which the first phase of the project has now achieved "four certificates in a row", compressing the processing time limit by 80%; the second phase of the project plans to build 8 power battery production lines with an annual production capacity of 15GWh.
