A few years later, Empress Lü ordered the reduction of the harem, and a part of the palace daughters were rewarded to the princes as concubines, and Dou Yifang was one of them.
Dou Yifang's hometown was in Qinghe County, close to handan, the capital of the Zhao state, so he hoped that he could be given to the King of Zhao. To this end, Dou Yifang took out what little savings he had, took the initiative to give gifts to the eunuch in charge of this matter, and pleaded: "Please assign me to Zhao Guo." ”
However, unexpectedly, "the eunuch forgot it and mistakenly placed her origin in the dai wuzhong" (see "History of foreign relatives"), this eunuch was sloppy for a while, and even misremembered the place where Dou Yifang was going, and wrote her name into the list assigned to the daiguo. By the time this error was discovered, Empress Lü had already approved the list and could not change it. Dou Yifang was extremely disappointed, complained that the eunuch was careless, and cried bitterly for a long time.
It turned out that daikoku was located on the frontier and was relatively desolate, so everyone was reluctant to go there. However, this is the end of the matter, and it is not possible to be unwilling to go. In this way, Dou Yifang and several other girls cried and cried, and went to Daiguo very reluctantly.
After arriving in the Daiguo, Dou Yifang was very lucky, "the DaiWang Duxing Dou Ji" (see "History of the Foreign Relatives Family"), and liu Heng, the Daiwang, fell in love with her at first sight and was very fond of her. Dou Yifang's stomach was also very contentious, and he gave birth to a daughter Liu Heng, a daughter Liu Heng, and a son Liu Qi and Liu Wu.
After a few years, Liu Heng's original queen died, and the four sons that this queen gave Liu Hengsheng also fell ill and died one by one. As a result, Dou Yifang became the queen of the daiguo.
In 180 BC, Empress Lü died, and Zhou Bo and Chen Ping were enthroned by Liu Heng, the emperor of Han.
Dou Yifang used to leave Chang'an to go to Daiguo crying, and now that her husband has come to Chang'an to become emperor, she probably came back with a smile.
Liu Heng became emperor, Dou Yifang naturally became empress, and their son Liu Qi was also made crown prince.
Later, his son Liu Qi ascended the throne, and Dou Yifang became the empress dowager; when his grandson Liu Che was born, Dou Yifang was honored as the empress dowager. In 135 BC, Dou Yifang died at the age of more than seventy years, and he was an empress, empress dowager, and empress dowager for more than forty years.
Dou Yifang was able to become the empress of Emperor Wen of Han from a humble and obscure palace girl, in addition to his own appearance and ability, largely because of the eunuch's sloppiness, and thus blessed by misfortune.
