It is reported that GAC Group, Wenyuan Zhixing and Ruqi Chuxing will carry out in-depth cooperation based on their respective advantages to jointly promote the design, research and development, mass production and commercial operation of Robotaxi (self-driving taxi) front-loading models.
Ruqi Travel will launch the Robotaxi service in 2022
According to the strategic cooperation agreement, the three parties will jointly promote the iteration of autonomous driving technology and vehicle research and development and vehicle research and development and manufacturing based on GAC Group's vehicle research and development and fully redundant vehicle platform that can be used for fully unmanned driving, Wenyuan Zhixing L4 level automatic driving technology, such as Qi Chuxing's smart travel platform and massive data, to create Robotaxi products with first-class fully unmanned driving capabilities, and to achieve large-scale operation of Robotaxi.
The three parties plan to gradually establish a Robotaxi fleet and realize commercial operation in the next few years, with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as the core radiating to the whole country, and launch safe, economical and green autonomous driving travel services for the public. Among them, it is planned to launch Robotaxi operation on the Ruqi Travel Platform in 2022 to provide users with autonomous travel services.
Under the above-mentioned strategic cooperation framework, GAC Group signed strategic investment agreements with Wenyuan Zhixing, Wenyuan Zhixing and Ruqi Chuxing, with GAC strategically investing in Wenyuan Zhixing, while Ruqi Travel received strategic investment from Wenyuan Zhixing.
The three parties complement each other's advantages and open up a new pattern of commercialization of Robotaxi
As early as 2018, GAC Group and Wenyuan Zhixing cooperated to launch China's first Robotaxi and carry out trial operation in Guangzhou. On the basis of the cooperation between GAC Group and Wenyuan Zhixing, Ruqi Chuxing joined as a travel service platform and will rely on its own advantages to undertake an important strategic task of helping GAC Group and Wenyuan Zhixing achieve the landing and operation of Robotaxi.
On the one hand, Ruqi Travel provides travel services for the C-end, has massive travel data, and the closed loop of data generation, recycling, calculation and storage can feed back GAC and Wenyuan Zhixing, and accelerate the iteration of autonomous driving technology; on the other hand, Ruqi Travel has mature experience in platform operation, safety and compliance, and can provide system operation solutions for the commercialization of Robotaxi.
At present, Ruqi Chuxing has accelerated the commercialization of Robotaxi with the strategic layout of "dual-axis drive". In the direction of "Technology Axis", Ruqi Travel will take automatic driving technology as the core to create a Robotaxi operation system including data platform, supervision platform and operation platform; in the direction of "Ecological Axis", Ruqi Travel takes the "Travel-Car Service" ecological closed loop as the core, is laying out the after-vehicle service market, focusing on the future automatic driving operation scenario, exploring the road of intelligent maintenance of unmanned vehicles.
The signing of the strategic cooperation agreement between the three parties and the strategic capital cooperation under the cooperation framework marks a new starting point for the cooperation between GAC Group and Wenyuan Zhixing. GAC Group, Wenyuan Zhixing and Ruqi Chuxing will work together to open a new pattern of robotaxi commercialization.
