In the history of majestic China, the status of Qin Shi Huang is self-evident, in terms of territory, he unified the seven kingdoms, conquered Hundred Yue in the south, and resisted the Xiongnu in the north. Culturally, Qin Shi Huang unified writing and weights and measures, so that the Chinese nation has been linked by blood and inseparable from then on. In terms of political system, Qin Shi Huang fully implemented the county system, which transformed China from a slave society into a feudal society, which had a great impact on Chinese history. Therefore, Qin Shi Huang was also known as the "First Emperor".

The "legacy" left by Qin Shi Huang to future generations is not only the cultural unity and feudal system he determined, but also the Great Wall, which is known as the eighth wonder of the world. Chairman Mao once had a poem:
The sky is high and cloudy, looking at the flying geese in the south. Less than the Great Wall is not a good man, the itinerary is twenty thousand.
In the hearts of most people, the Great Wall is incomparably majestic, so many "good men" have to climb the Great Wall to express their hearts. As everyone knows, more than 2,000 years ago, the Great Wall brought infinite sadness to the nation. 700,000 toiling people, with flesh and blood, forged into the Great Wall, now people only see the majestic and magnificent wonder of the world, but rarely think of the tired white bones under it. However, Qin Shi Huang was rich in the world, and the Qin Dynasty was invincible to the iron horse, so why did he have to build a defensive Great Wall?
Some people say that Qin Shi Huang built the Great Wall with a very clear purpose, that is, to defend against the Xiongnu. In fact, during the qin shi huang period, the Qin dynasty was not a defensive posture against the Xiongnu, but an offensive posture. Jia Yi wrote in the "Theory of Passing Qin":
It was to make Meng Tian build the Great Wall and defend the fence, but the Xiongnu were more than seven hundred miles; the Hu people did not dare to go south and herd horses, and the soldiers did not dare to bend their bows and complain.
Since Qin Shi Huang beat the Xiongnu all the way to the north and did not dare to go south and herd horses, it should be that the Xiongnu built the city wall to protect themselves, why did Qin Shi Huang build the Great Wall backwards and set up a barrier for himself to attack the Xiongnu in the north?
This confusion, the historian Sima Qian has his thinking. After Qin Shi Huang established the mighty Qin Dynasty, he did not immerse himself in joy, but was even more worried. Qin Shi Huang wanted to pass on the foundation of the Qin Dynasty to thousands of generations, but faced two major problems, the first is that human life has an end, and the second is that the enemy is always there. Therefore, in order to overcome these two problems, on the one hand, Qin Shi Huang burned books and pit Confucianism, collected the world's weapons and forged twelve golden men, which has achieved the purpose of weakening the people of the world, on the other hand, Qin Shi Huang began to constantly look for ways to live forever, hoping to continue his life. Therefore, Qin Shi Huang used many strange people and strangers, including Xu Fu, Lu Sheng and others.
Needless to say, Xu Fu took the virgin boy and girl to japan, and Qin Shi Huang waited bitterly, but never waited for Xu Fu's return. Lu Sheng, on the other hand, was entrusted by Qin Shi Huang with a heavy responsibility to find the method of immortality, but many times without success. In order to avoid being questioned by Qin Shi Huang, Lu Sheng once returned and gave Qin Shi Huang a book called "Record Book", which although it could not make Qin Shi Huang immortal, predicted the national fortunes of the Qin Dynasty and reluctantly made a difference to Qin Shi Huang.
Sima Qian recorded this sentence in the "History of the First Emperor of Qin":
The First Emperor patrolled the north and entered from Shanggun. Lu Sheng returned to the sea, because of the "Record Book": "Hu Ye, the deceased Qin." "The First Emperor sent the general Meng Tian to send 300,000 troops to the Northern Expedition against the Xiongnu.
That is to say, after Qin Shi Huang got the "Record Book", he thought it was a book of sayings, because he saw the 5 words "Hu Ye of the Dead Qin" in the book, and in Qin Shi Huang's direct impression, "Hu" was the Xiongnu. Therefore, Qin Shi Huang first sent Meng Tian to attack the Xiongnu, and after the Xiongnu's fiasco, in order to avoid the "Hu people" from stepping into the Central Plains, Qin Shi Huang decided to build the Great Wall at all costs. From Lintao in the west to Liaodong in the east, even if thousands of craftsmen and people's husbands are exhausted, they will not hesitate. Therefore, some scholars believe that the reason why Qin Shi Huang will raise the masses to build the Great Wall is actually because of the prophecy of those 5 words.
However, Qin Shi Huang did not know that the five words "Hu Ye of the Qin Dynasty" actually did not refer to the Xiongnu, but to his younger son Hu Hai, and the Great Wall of Ten Thousand Miles stopped the Hu people, but failed to prevent the result of the demise of the Qin Dynasty.
