A military attaché went out on a campaign and was defeated, and suddenly there were divine soldiers to help the battle, and the anti-great victory was won. The official prostrated his head and asked for the name of the god, who said, "I am the god of the blocker." The official said: "Young General He De, dare to block the son to honor the gods and see the salvation?" Answer: "I feel that Ru Ping used to be in the teaching field, and he never injured me with an arrow."

Translation: When a military attaché led his troops to fight, and was about to be defeated, suddenly a divine soldier came to help the battle, so that he won a great victory. The military attaché kowtowed to the god and asked for the name of the god. God replied, "I am the god of arrows." The military attaché then asked, "What merit do I have, the young general, who dares to come to the rescue with the great driver of the arrow target god?" God replied, "I'm here to thank you for not hurting me with a single arrow when you usually practice arrows."
The joke satirizes the military attaché's inferior martial arts, but instead of ridiculing from the front, he goes around a corner, saying that he has never hit a target when he usually shoots arrows.
Handan Chun's "Zhengshi Three-Body Stone Classic" fragment rubbing
"Laughing Forest" is a collection of jokes, which is the earliest joke book in ancient China. The book was written in the late Han Dynasty and early Wei Dynasty, and the author is the famous calligrapher Handan Chun, to what extent is it famous? The history books record that Cao Cao had heard of the great name of Handan Chun early on, "Summoning and meeting each other, and respecting them very much." And not only Did Cao Cao like it, his two sons Cao Pi and Cao Zhi all competed to befriend Handan Chun, and Cao Pi also begged Cao Cao to let Handan Chun be his own literary attendant. Cao Zhi also begged Handan Chun to be anxious. At this time, Cao Cao was favoring Cao Zhi and ordered Handan Chun to meet Cao Zhi, and Cao Zhi was overjoyed and received Handan Chun warmly and solemnly. In the twenty-fifth year of Jian'an (220 years of public security), Cao Cao died of illness, Cao Pi took the right to inherit, established the Wei Dynasty on behalf of the Han Dynasty, ignored the "black history" of Handan Chun, and pulled Handan Chun to his side as a doctor, or this official was mostly a vassal of Ai Xing.
It should be noted here that this "Laughing Forest" and "Laughing Forest Guangji" are not the same thing, "Laughing Forest Guangji" was written in the Song Dynasty, and the Ming and Qing dynasties have different engravings.
