Taoism, as a traditional religion born and raised in our country as a country, has always had such a saying on the Internet, taoist monks in the chaotic world go down the mountain to save the world, and Taoist monks in the prosperous world return to the mountains. I don't know whether it is credible or not, but during the War of Resistance Against Japan, there was indeed such a group of Daoist people who saw the devils invading, the country suffering, and the people suffering, and resolutely went down the mountain to join the wave of resistance against Japan and contributed their strength to the country and the people. Today we will say that such a "anti-Japanese veteran" Master Li Yuantong of Wolf's Tooth Mountain, who has studied the Five Heroes of Wolf's Tooth Mountain in school, should know this place of Wolf's Tooth Mountain, and when the five heroes jumped off the cliff, two people hung on the tree to survive and were saved by him.

In 1878, Li Yuantong (formerly known as Li Yaofu) was born in Weizhuang Village, Tongcheng County, Hebei Province, saying that Hebei has always been the hometown of martial arts, almost even farmers will be so two-handed kung fu, it is said that his family is a martial arts family, the atmosphere of learning martial arts is very strong, he also loves to learn martial arts, through diligent study and hard training, he has a good kung fu. In his time, the country was in chaos, with invaders on the outside and the rising tide of the anti-Qing revolution on the inside, soldiers and horses fighting for many years, and the people suffering and suffering. In order to defend his family and defend the country, he once threw himself into the army, but later after the fall of the Qing government, China entered a period of division between the masses and the warlords, and Li Yuantong was tired of the deceit of these warlords and oppressed the people, so he left the army and fled into Xuanmen.

He went to the Wolf's Tooth Mountain Chessboard Tortuous Taoist Temple and became a Taoist monk, while practicing, he immersed himself in the study of Taoist medicine, had a unique insight into the art of acupuncture, and helped the villagers heal their wounds and diseases. Under his auspices, the Wolf's Tooth Mountain Dojo became famous for its incense. In 1910, he worshipped the Taoist master of Suiyuan Baiyun temple and was given the Taoist title "Yuanzhong", which was also a nickname for him later, and since then he has become a disciple of the Taoist Quanzhen Dragon Gate Sect. After returning to Wolf's Tooth Mountain, he began to open the mountain gate and accept more Daoist disciples, and the Wolf's Tooth Mountain dojo grew stronger and stronger.
In 1937, when the Lugou Bridge Incident broke out and the devils began to invade China in an all-round way, Yi County, where Wolf's Tooth Mountain was located, was the main activity area of the first sub-district of the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region. In 1941, Okamura Ningji, the head of The Devil's North China, led heavy troops to sweep up and attack our Jin-Cha-Ji anti-Japanese base area. At the critical juncture when the country rose and fell, Li Yuandao resolutely led the Guannei Daoist monks down the mountain and threw themselves into this great battle against the invaders and the protection of the country, which was a model for Xuanmen disciples to directly participate in the national liberation struggle in Yanzhao.
Li Daochang, who convened a mobilization meeting among his disciples in Guannei, called on female disciples to take advantage of the conditions of the Taoist Temple to provide cover for the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army, hide strategic materials, and hide and treat the wounded of the Anti-Japanese Resistance; he called on the male disciples to take up arms and follow the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army into the battle to defend their families and defend the country; he himself actively assisted General Yang Chengwu, commander of the First Division, known as "Zhao Zilong in the Army," to survey the terrain and build fortifications. Because some Japanese people are still relatively taboo about the Taoist Temple, so the Taoist Temple has become a rear base of the Eighth Route Army, making great merits for the Eighth Route Army to hide materials and cover the wounded, and General Yang Chengwu has always called him "anti-Japanese old Way", when he was more than sixty years old, but he was not an old Way.
The battle of the five heroes of Wolf's Tooth Mountain is in the primary school textbook, and everyone should know the fierceness and tragedy of that battle, but everyone may not necessarily know the follow-up to this battle! At that time, the Japanese army invaded the base area, in order to cover the withdrawal of large troops, the soldiers of the seventh company of the Eighth Route Army were responsible for covering, leading the enemy around the Wolf's Tooth Mountain, and finally the weapons were used up, even the stones were thrown away, and the remaining five fighters heroically jumped off the cliff in order not to fall into the hands of the enemy. In fact, after jumping off the cliff, the deputy squad leader Ge Zhenlin and the warrior Song Xueyi were hung by the trees on the mountainside, and they were discovered in time by Li Yuantong, who was exploring the terrain on the mountain and exploring the enemy situation, and was saved by him. The heroic story of the five heroes of Wolf's Tooth Mountain was thus also spread, which gave great encouragement to the various anti-Japanese territories.

However, with the spread of the feats of the five heroes of Wolf's Tooth Mountain, this Wolf's Tooth Mountain, which had been helping the Eighth Route Army to resist Japan, was also discovered by Japanese devils. For the purpose of revenge, this devil wreaked havoc on the Wolf-Tooth Mountain Dojo in 1943, the Taoist Temple was burned down, the Taoist priests were killed, and only Li Yuantong survived because he went down the mountain to help us pass on the information of the Eighth Route Army. Li Yuandao was grief-stricken, and after tearfully burying the sacrificed Daoists and warriors, he left the Wolf's Tooth Mountain and traveled all over the world. General Yang Chengwu's memoirs mention the patriotic actions of the Daoist monks on Wolf's Tooth Mountain many times, and he is very concerned about the recovery work of the burned dojo.

In 1952, Li Yuantong traveled to Hunyuan, and the magnificence and tranquility of Hengshan Mountain in Beiyue deeply attracted him, and at this time the country was too peaceful, and he decided to settle in Hengshan. He actively treated the people with patients in Hunyuan, no matter who came to the door, he carefully treated, his medical skills, medical products and character spread throughout the county, and everyone called him "Li Ye" regardless of age and age. Until 1956, he was elected a member of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and actively promoted the party's policies in religious circles and among the masses. In 1957, Li Yuantong attended the Taoist Association held in Beijing, was received by Zhu De, and was invited to stay in Beijing, but Li Yuantong saw that the country was stable and the world was at peace, and left Yunyou at the end of the year, at this time he was about to be eighty years old, which is also the last true and reliable record, and we do not know what happened to him after that.
