In January 2017, SAIC Signed an Industrial Cooperation Framework Agreement with the Zhengzhou Municipal Government, and just eight months later, the plant was erected. In 2017, the output value of the factory reached 1.48 billion yuan at the beginning of mass production, and the profit and tax reached 35 million, and the output value exceeded the 10 billion mark in the following year, becoming a "tax-paying enterprise with more than 100 million yuan" and maintaining it to this day. Up to now, the first phase of the project with a total investment of 4.3 billion yuan has been completed and put into operation; the second phase of the project with a total investment of 4.6 billion yuan has also started construction in 2018, and has been partially put into operation, and it is expected that the output value of the factory will reach 19.2 billion yuan this year, an increase of 14% year-on-year, and the output value will be nearly 70 billion yuan, with a total profit and tax of 2.37 billion yuan, and maintain an upward trend. When the second phase of the project is fully put into operation, the Zhengzhou plant will reach an annual production capacity of 600,000 vehicles.
