When the whole country was about to be liberated, the organization decided to let Li Houkun stay in the big city to work, as the deputy commander and chief of staff of the Sanye Logistics Department, but he repeatedly asked to participate in the war and contribute to the complete liberation of the whole country. At this time, the sky was getting darker and darker, the soldiers of the guard platoon judged that the firepower of the attackers was getting fiercer and fiercer, and there was a machine gun that was constantly firing, and the threat was very large, so they knew that they encountered not ordinary small bandits, so everyone withdrew the car to occupy the high ground next to them to counterattack, and what they did not expect was that at this time, Li Houkun, the deputy commander and chief of staff who led everyone to crawl forward, was unfortunately shot and died at the age of 38, and then, Li Houkun's wife Ge Yufang was unfortunately martyred at the same time.
After the deputy commander Li Houkun and his wife were sacrificed, a guard held their child Li Xingguo and hid in the bridge hole under the Hucun Bridge, don't look at this child who is less than two years old, but very alert, leaning closely on the guard, did not cry out, the enemy did not find that he had luckily escaped the disaster, at dawn, the guard held the chief's son Li Xingguo, and fled to the Zhougaoao Mountain in Majia Village, Luxi Township, about two miles away from Dongyang Hu Village.

When he was a teenager, he received revolutionary ideological education, joined the Red Trade Union when he was a child, and later joined the Young Pioneers and served as a detachment leader, actively participating in revolutionary activities such as cracking down on local tycoons and dividing up fields and armed uprisings.
