"The general died in a hundred battles, and the hero returned in ten years." This is a sentence in Mulan's poem, from which it can be seen how cruel the battlefield is, how many brave soldiers can only wrap their bodies in the end, and only a very small number of them can return home.
And those warriors who returned home have long since changed from spirited teenagers to elderly people. The cruelty of war is not only that the corpses are everywhere, but also that those who were originally happy families cannot be reunited.
Deng Hua is an example, because of the war, he and his son have not seen each other for many years, and finally his son saw his father in the newspaper, but when his son showed it to the outside world, he was misunderstood by outsiders as recognizing the wrong person.
Who is Deng Hua
Deng Hua was born in Hunan in April 1910, his father was a literati during the Qing government, but he did not become an official in the Qing government, but opened a private school of his own, responsible for some children's education in the local area.
When Deng Hua was sensible, he studied in his father's private school, and under the influence of his father from an early age, he had a clear understanding of the corruption of the Qing government, and also remembered that changing his thinking and enlightening the people's wisdom was the most important thing at the moment.
After the age of 15, Deng Hua left his hometown, because he had almost mastered the knowledge of his father's society, so he had to go to study abroad, and with a desire for knowledge, he came to Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province.
When he arrived in Changsha, he first went to Yueyun Middle School to study, and then to the South China Law and Politics College for further study, during which time, new progressive ideas entered Deng Hua's world and gave hope to this fledgling young man.
In 1928, Deng Hua went to Jinggangshan, joined the Red Army, and became an excellent revolutionary fighter, in the ranks, he always maintained this sober mind, and never retreated in every face of the enemy.
After this, Deng Hua participated in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the War of Liberation, and later the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. In March 1940, during the second phase of the Hundred Regiments War, Deng Hua personally led the team to annihilate the enemy stronghold.
Later, with the rich experience of the battle, he began to enrich his thinking, and in 1944 he led his subordinates to Yan'an, and entered the Central Party School in November to study. Many new ideas were added for future battles.
During the Liberation War, he reached the northeast again and became the commander of the military district, during which he suppressed bandits and successfully established people's power. And successfully liberated the northeast and made great contributions to the liberation war.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he also commanded the Battle of Hainan Island, and together with Han Xianchu, defeated Xue Yue on the kuomintang side and forced him to flee back to Taiwan.
Years of conquest made people ignore that he also had a family, and also ignored this iron-boned general, who had not returned home to see his wife and children for many years.

Deng Hua fought in his lifetime, and had two wives, the first was Qiu Qing'e, and he was a fellow countryman, and the two were the words of his parents, and they were married in 1925. Two years after their marriage, their first child was born.
Deng Hua named the child Deng Xianshi, and then he went with the team to fight everywhere, leaving the child and mother in his hometown. The child and the mother have been dependent on each other since childhood, and in that war-torn era, the life of the mother and son is very difficult.
However, Qiu Qing'e told her children from an early age that her father was an excellent revolutionary soldier and that not returning home outside was for the happy life of the entire Chinese people, so Deng Xianshi did not have any resentment towards her father.
And Deng Xianshi has always regarded his father as his idol. Later, his mother died of a serious illness in March 1938, when Deng Hua had planned to take the child to his side.
However, because it was in the critical period of the War of Resistance Against Japan at that time, Deng Hua himself was busy fighting with the enemy every day, and it was difficult to have the opportunity to pick up his children, so this matter was always delayed.
Later, after the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the War of Liberation soon occurred, and Deng Hua at this time had no chance to meet his son, and Deng Xianshi also grew up and joined the ranks of the Communist Party, and he was working towards his father.
In October 1949, our Party army successfully liberated Guangzhou, this time the main troops were the 4th Corps led by Chen Geng and the 15th Corps led by Deng Hua, who successfully eliminated the remnants of the Kuomintang.
When the local newspaper learned of this, it immediately reported on the incident and put a picture of General Deng Hua in the newspaper, while Deng Xianshi was serving in the 49th Army, he saw the newspaper report about the liberation of Guangzhou.
When looking at the photo of the officer in the newspaper, the more Deng Xianshi looked at it, the more he felt that this was his father, although the father and son had not seen each other for many years, but the feelings of blood thicker than water could not be mistaken, and he soon determined that this was his father Deng Hua.
At that time, Deng Xianshi's instructor saw it and asked him what was wrong, why he was restless when he read a newspaper, and he explained his matter to the instructor, saying that he seemed to know the whereabouts of his father.
The instructor looked at the newspaper in his hand and shook his head repeatedly: "How is it possible, don't think about it, this person is a senior chief." After saying that, he turned his head and left. But Deng Xianshi did not give up, he and his father had not seen each other for so long, and he did not want to lose the opportunity to reunite.
So he picked up a pen and wrote a letter, but he did not know how to get the letter to his father, so he sent it directly to the Military Control Commission in Guangzhou, and after several turns, the letter finally reached Deng Hua's hands.
Looking at the letter in his hand, Deng Hua was excited, it turned out that his son had grown up, and had also joined the ranks of the Red Army, and now he was also a glorious People's Liberation Army. Later, under Deng Hua's arrangement, father and son were able to meet.
When the father and son met in the streets of guangzhou, which had just been liberated, they were very excited, and the father who was supposed to accompany the child was away from home because the battlefield left home, and the child eventually became a soldier like his father.
