Then, as a prince, why didn't the Duke of Qi'ai go to pay tribute to Zhou Tianzi, who was the co-lord of the world?
This is because, by the time of King Yi of Zhou, the Zhou Dynasty had already passed down to the ninth generation. The State of Qi was only five generations, so the Duke of Qi thought that his generation was higher and should not pay tribute to the younger generation every year. When King Yi of Zhou was angry, Ji Hou '''The Zhou of Qi' and planted a deliberate rebellion against Qi Yi and Justice, so he did not come to pay tribute.

In the twelfth year of the Duke of Qi 'ai ( 868 BC ) , the Duke of Qi 'was ordered to go to the capital of Zhou ' to discuss important matters ' who wanted to go on a journey without return. Arriving at the capital, King Yi of Zhou did not give him any chance to explain, so he threw him into the Da Ding and killed him, and established his younger brother as the king of the State of Qi.
The Duke of Qi died and the new monarch succeeded to the throne, but the matter was far from over. After the death of duke Qi Ai, the monarch of the state of Qi became the Duke of Qi Xiang, and he led his troops to destroy the fief of Ji Hou, who had spoken to the Heavenly Son in the past years, leaving behind the idiom ''The Vengeance of the Ninth Dynasty'". It is his sin not to pay tribute to the Son of Heaven as a vassal of the Duke of Qi. Ji Hou is guilty of stirring up dissension. The King of Zhou Yi, on the other hand, played a role in deterring the princes, and transferred the anger of the State of Qi to Ji Hou, leaving himself with not too much notoriety, and the plan to cook and kill the Duke of Qi was not unsuccessful.
