The Battle of Taierzhuang was a brilliant stroke in the history of China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. It dealt a heavy blow to the arrogance of the Japanese aggressors and was of very great historical significance. The main commander of the Battle of Taierzhuang was Li Zongren, vice president of the Republic of China.
After Li Zongren's death, how did his 30-year-old widow end up?
In December 1949, Li Zongren fled to the United States and wandered abroad for more than ten years.
In 1965, the international situation changed. At this time, Li Zongren firmly took a political stand, stood on the side of our party, and resolutely returned to live with his wife Guo Dejie.
Li Zongren, who returned to his hometown, was received by Premier Zhou. While he was excited, he expressed his willingness to contribute to the reunification of the motherland. Later, Li Zongren and his wife lived in the Li Mansion and spent their old age here.
A year later, his wife Guo Dejie died of illness, which deeply shocked Li Zongren and lost his spirit. When secretary Cheng Siyuan saw it, he was very worried about Li Zongren's body. After much thought, he decided to make a claim to continue the string for him. Not long after, I found a female nurse named Hu Yousong.
When Li Zongren and Hu Yousong met for the first time, they felt very good at first, and they also praised Hu Yousong to the secretary.
Hu Yousong also had a good feeling for this seventy-year-old man. Although Li Zongren is a rare age, he still has a rosy complexion and a tall figure. The voice is also very loud, looking elegant and peaceful, but also losing the awe-inspiring military temperament. Hu Yousong was moved.
Under Cheng Siyuan's arrangement, Hu Yousong stayed with Li Zongren to work. After several meetings, this predatory soldier who had fought all his life saw Hu Yousong and asked, "Would you like to marry yourself?"
Hu Yousong was stunned to hear this, did not give an answer, and proposed to think again. At the next meeting, Hu Yousong deliberately agreed to Li Zongren's marriage proposal.
On July 26, 1966, Li Zongren and Hu Yousong were officially married. At this time, Li Zongren was 76 years old, while Hu Yousong was only 27 years old. Such a large age difference has also aroused the discussion of many people.
Many people feel that the young and beautiful Hu Yousong is willing to marry an old man who is more than forty years older than himself, and the purpose must be impure. In the face of such a question, Hu Yousong gave two unexpected reasons.
First, it was because she admired this half-life warrior and a general who had made many achievements. She sincerely married Li Zongren, did not covet any property, and only hoped that Li Zongren would be well.
The second is because of his own life. We know very little about Hu Yousong, but we should have heard of the famous film star Hu Die of the Republic of China. And Hu Die, is Hu Yousong's birth mother. Her biological father is unknown, but she was raised as a child by the aunt of the warlord Zhang Zongchang.
After being expelled from the Li Mansion, he took refuge in Buddhism
However, this aunt was not friendly to Hu Yousong, and was often a scolding. Therefore, Hu Yousong has been insecure since childhood. And Li Zongren's love undoubtedly satisfies her need for love.
After marriage, Li Zongren treated Hu Yousong very gently and considerately. Let Hu Yousong feel the love and care, and the two lives are very beautiful. It was not until January 30, 1969, when Li Zongren died of bowel cancer, that this short-lived dream was finally shattered.
After Li Zongren's death, due to some special circumstances, Hu Yousong was expelled from Li Mansion and sent to work in the factory. No matter how hard life was, she never regretted it.
Although her life was very poor, she did not use the savings left by Li Zongren. Instead, the huge deposits left by Li Zongren and the subsidies issued by the state were all handed over to the state.
In 1995, Hu Yousong chose to become a monk at Guangji Temple in Beijing, with the title of Miaohui Resident. Since then, he has immersed himself in the Dharma and is no longer bothered by the red dust and customs.
In February 2008, Hu Yousong suffered from rectal cancer, and for the rest of the day, she did not choose to receive treatment, but immersed herself in the practice of Buddhism at jinshan Temple on the island, listening to the master explain the Buddhist scriptures.
On November 25, 2008, Hu Yousong died at the Age of 69 at the Golden Mountain Temple, ending her legendary life.
