Guo Dejie is a native of Guiping County, Guangxi, born in 1906, married Li Zongren at the age of 18, after marriage, Guo Dejie longed for revolution, once served as the leader of the "Guangxi Women's Task Force of the Seventh Army of the National Revolutionary Army", during the Northern Expedition, Li Zongren led the troops to be invincible, Guo Dejie did not fall behind him, and the "Furong Squad" that shuttled through the rain of bullets and bullets especially added color to the three armies.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Guo Dejie adopted and educated the homeless children who had lost their families due to the war, at the same time, Guo Dejie also founded a school to cultivate talents for the society.
After the founding of New China, Guo Dejie went to the United States with Li Zongren to settle down, at that time, the political loss of power made Li Zongren very uncomfortable, Guo Dejie accompanied him around, enlightened his heart, which also made Li Zongren have a lot of touch.
In 1964, the doctor found out that Guo Dejie had breast cancer and recommended immediate surgery, Guo Dejie thought that this would damage the body shape and destroy the image, so he refused, in 1965, the cancer reached an advanced stage, and in 1966, she died of illness.
Guo Dejie's death is a huge blow to Li Zongren, who is already 75 years old.
Zhou Enlai, the relevant personnel of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee were very concerned about Li Zongren's health, and in order for Li Zongren to rely on his elderly, everyone decided to find another wife for Li Zongren after consultation.
