These mottos, from this dynasty, the men behind them are not simple!

In most people's minds, the Song Dynasty was a weak dynasty and the most cultural and economically prosperous dynasty. Among the "Eight Greats of the Tang and Song Dynasties" in China, the Song Dynasty accounted for six of them, but due to excessive emphasis on literature and light force, the dynasty eventually collapsed.

The literati made the decision, indicating that this would be an era of frequent golden sentences, and many of them came from the emperors of the time.

On the side of the bed, do not allow others to snore

This sentence came from the mouth of Zhao Kuangyin, the grandfather of the Song Dynasty, who was about to set out to eliminate the Southern Tang Yu Party.

At that time, Zhao Kuangyin established a unified strategy of first south and then north. After the Later Shu and Southern Han dynasties were destroyed one after another, zhao Kuangyin made this declaration in the face of the emissaries sent by Lord Li Hou to ask for forgiveness.

Zhao Kuangyin

Today, this sentence means that one's own interests are not allowed to be infringed upon by others, and it is very graphic to use the metaphor of the bed.

Unwinding is beneficial

This phrase should often be used to ridicule the fact that the exam should be opened, of course, it is not the original intention.

This sentence comes from Zhao Guangyi, the Emperor Taizong of Song, who ordered someone to compile an encyclopedia called the Taiping Preview, and Song Taizong, who was strict with himself, read at least two or three volumes a day at that time.

Zhao Guangyi

In the face of the emperor of a country who was so tired, the courtiers were afraid that it would cause excessive fatigue, so they advised him to combine work and leisure, but Song Taizong's answer was: "It is beneficial to open the book, and I don't think that it is labor." "Busy as the king of a country is so hard, what reason do we have to slacken off?"

There is a house of gold in the book, and there is a beautiful jade in the book

This sentence has not only affected generations, but to this day some people still regard it as a motto in life, and in fact it is indeed a truth - if you do not read, people will have nothing.

This sentence is from Song Zhenzong Zhao Heng's "Persuasion Chapter", and the full version says:

Rich families do not have to buy good land, and there are thousands of bells in the book.

There is no need to build a high hall in the settlement, and there is a golden house in the book.

When you go out, you don't hate no one to follow, and there are many cars and horses in the book.

Marrying a wife does not hate the unscrupulous media, and there is a yan ruyu in the book.

If the boy has fulfilled his life aspirations, he will read to the window diligently.

At that time, Song Zhenzong wrote this poem to encourage readers to read more. Even the emperor personally went down to encourage the readers to work hard, and it is not surprising that the cultural heritage of the Song people is so deep.

Speaking of the literati of the Song Dynasty, I have to say that the man behind the emperor of the Song Dynasty. The emperors of the Song Dynasty are not only the masters of the golden sentences, but also the men behind them, such as the Song Huizong that we most often discuss.

This talented painter, calligrapher, poet, and tea artist who was delayed by the throne has countless genius men like him behind him.

There was Wang Ximeng, an early genius who was taught painting by Emperor Huizong,

There are also Li Tang, a painter of the Academy who has gone south,

There is also zhang Zeduan, a mysterious painter who was stamped by the emperor...

Wang Ximeng

I believe that everyone has begun to know a little about Wang Ximeng from the "Map of a Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" exhibited in the Forbidden City some time ago.

At the age of eighteen, he completed the Painting of a Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains, which ranked among the "Top Ten Famous Paintings" in ancient times. But thereafter he remained silent until his untimely death. We know very little about Wang Ximeng's story, only that his "Map of a Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" not only pleases Huizong, but also enriches us.

Zhang Zeduan

Legend has it that in the Xiangguo Temple in the present-day city of Kaifeng in the Northern Song Dynasty, there lived some folk painters who made a living by painting the temple. Among them was a young painter who said that he could bring the bustling scene of the capital City of Tokyo to the painting, and this young man was Zhang Zeduan from Zhucheng, Shandong.

Who would have thought that a prosperous scene of Tokyo in the Northern Song Dynasty was actually created in a remote farmhouse on the outskirts of Tokyo. This painting is today called "Qingming On the River Map".

Li Tang

Li Tang, another painter at Hanlin Academy, originally made a living selling paintings. At the age of 48, he participated in the painting academy examination presided over by Huizong, and the test question was only a Tang poem - "Selling Restaurants by the Bamboo Lock Bridge".

Li Tang does not paint the restaurant, but highlights the artistic conception, in the depths of the bamboo forest by the creek bridge, a few strokes outline a wine curtain, highlighting the deep meaning of "lock", the painting is nothing, but you know in your heart, the restaurant is nearby.

Such an artistic conception greatly appreciated by Song Huizong, who not only handpicked Li Tang as the first place and entered the Hanlin Picture Academy as a full-time painter, but also made him feel that he had met a confidant.

Perhaps the Song Dynasty lacked a certain rigidity, but these imprints left by the Song people on history are undoubtedly the most brilliant cultural treasures of Chinese civilization.
