Seeing this, Su Xiaomei suddenly humorously quipped: "Wash the monk in the water of the Qingjiang River, and the waves roll the gourd." Buddha Yin smiled when he heard this, and replied: "There is a beautiful woman sitting in the blue yarn tent, and the smoke cage is full of peony." Su Xiaomei was not to be outdone, and said again: "The monk sleeps in the brocade quilt, and there is a gourd among the ten thousand flowers." Buddha Yin was not annoyed, and responded indifferently: "The female pair of bronze, two Hanlian in half an acre of pond." ”
Just when the two of them came and went, and there was no one around, I saw a monk rowing in the middle of the river. Su Xiaomei suddenly had an idea and made a couplet: "The monk supports the boat, and beats the Jiangxin Arhat." Buddha Yin groaned slightly, and then took the next sentence: "The beautiful woman draws water, and the rope leads the bottom of the well Guanyin." The couplets between the two did not fall behind at all, and their thoughts flowed with witty words. Su Shi was amazed when he watched it from the side.
However, when the hunger in his stomach was in trouble, Su Shi finally interrupted the couplet game between the two, saying that it was time to find a restaurant for dinner. The three of them went back and forth one after another, and finally settled in a time-honored noodle restaurant in the city. Although Su Xiaomei temporarily put aside the idea of couplets with the Buddha seal, she did not stop there. Looking at a hot noodle on the noodle table, her eyes suddenly lit up, and she said to the Buddha Yin with great interest: "Eat noodles face to face!" ”
As soon as Su Xiaomei's words came out, Buddha Yin understood her intentions in an instant. The first two "noodles" refer to human faces, while the third "noodles" refer to food noodles, which not only indicates the action of eating noodles, but also appropriately depicts the scene of the three people at the moment. Buddha Yin couldn't help but be amused by this Shanglian, and nodded again and again and praised: "Wonderful, wonderful! ”
But even though he was full of praise, the Buddha seal did not immediately make the next couplet. It must be known that the couplet pays attention to the god sticking to the quasi-work, Su Xiaomei's couplet is already superior, and if her own couplet is judged, it will inevitably have the original intention of the couplet. So the Buddha Yin pondered for a long time, and finally replied: "People talk about people." ”
Although this lower link echoes Su Xiaomei's upper link, it is a little thin after all. It turns out that in Su Xiaomei's upper couplet, the first two "noodles" refer to faces, and the third "noodles" refer to noodles, which has a double meaning. In the lower couplet of the Buddha seal, although each word "human" is referred to, it revolves around the word "human", which seems to be a bit monotonous and boring.
Su Shi frowned after hearing this, and also felt that although the Buddha's words were neat, they were really a little thin. So he suggested that Buddha Yin think again, maybe there is a better couplet. The Buddha Yin understood, then closed his eyes and pondered for a moment, and finally came to his senses, and replied with joy: "Heart to heart." ”
Su Shi applauded when he heard the case. This couplet is really elegant and vulgar, and the witty words are full of witty words. The word "heart-to-heart" refers to the heart-to-heart and heart-to-heart communication with each other; In addition to the literal meaning, "intimate" also has the meaning of caring and considerate. It can be described as rich in meaning, advancing layer by layer, which not only fits the theme of "face-to-face noodles", but also has a profound meaning.
