Yesterday, Lantu held a product day experience activity at the test site of its Wuhan factory. On the same day, we simultaneously test-drove the Lantu FREE extended range version and statically experienced the Lantu Dreamer test car.
Just this past November, Lantu Automobile delivered 1139 vehicles, an increase of 13.22% month-on-month, and the number of deliveries climbed for four consecutive months, while the Lantu brand delivered a total of 3461 vehicles.
On yesterday's product day, Lantu said that the december delivery figures are also worth looking forward to. As of today, we have received the news that the delivery volume of Lantu in December has exceeded the full month of November.
But 2021 is coming to an end. Lantu Automobile, which officially started this year, is about to usher in 2022, which may be the first product of smart electric vehicles. Whether it is a new car-making force or a traditional car company, it will bring heavy new products next year.
Therefore, the continuous product strength of Lantu FREE itself and whether the opportunity of Lantu Dreamer's "first luxury electric drive MPV" can be grasped are particularly important.
First, let's talk about the dynamic test drive + ride experience of FREE.
We have previously experienced the FREE PT mass production verification car, and the previous feeling is that the dynamic performance is worth affirming, but after all, it is a verification car, and the details such as interior and assembly still need to be considered.
When we test-drove the production car yesterday, we found that the overall workmanship level of the FREE mass production version was already online.
Lantu FREE focuses on the concept of large five seats, the actual space we have experienced at the beginning of this year, the performance is very good, and the comfort of the rear seats is also better than some competitors at the same price, mainly reflected in the back support and cushion length.
On the mass production car, the free space is matched with a more mature process after mass production, and the materials that should be used at this price point, which can be said to be quite luxurious.
From a subjective point of view, the debatable point of the interior of Lantu FREE lies in the gear handlebar (including the operation logic) that is very similar to the fuel car, and the trackpad on the right side of the gear handle.
It's comfortable to sit up statically, and the dynamic experience is also very good.
Lantu FREE comes standard with air suspension, where the driving mode is set to high energy, which is generally said to be the sport mode, the air suspension will be automatically reduced, improving the handling.
After a round of bumps on the various simulated rotten roads at the test site, we found that the suspension toughness of the Landu FREE did a good job, and the road sense was filtered more textured. Simply put, you know what's being overwhelmed, but you don't feel bad.
However, it may be that the flat ratio of the FREE tire is only 45, and the abrupt feeling brought by the thin tire can be felt when passing some extreme sections, of course, no one will often take the extreme section.
As for the power, because the FREE car was already in a state of power deficit when we experienced it, the full strength of the dual motor 510kW could not be fully exerted.
However, the actual feeling is already very exciting, after all, the official 100 km/h acceleration of FREE has reached 4.5 seconds, and even if the power is lost, it is still in the performance echelon.

In addition to the dynamic experience, we also tried the automatic parking of Lantu FREE.
Because the parking spaces in the test site are clearly demarcated, we did not explore the ultimate parking ability of Lantu FREE, but in the end, the parking was quite straight, that is, the speed was definitely not as fast as the old human driver.
In addition, when it comes to intelligence, we found that the indicator tone of Lantu FREE needs to be improved. The main problem is that the "mechanical sense is too strong", the prompt tone is just a simple buzzer sound effect, if it can be made into a note-style tone.
Second, static experience 7-seat version of the Dreamer
The Dreamer is Lantu's first electric MPV and the most important mass production of Lantu in 2022.
Before the Guangzhou Auto Show, we had already preemptively photographed the 4-seat top matching version of the Dreamer. Executive seats + rear screen + rose gold trims do create enough "trench" atmosphere.
Yesterday, we got into the 7-seater Dreamer's car for the first time.
Obviously, the 7-seater version of the model is the main family, and the luxury requirements are not particularly high in the commercial market, and the 7-seat dreamer will definitely be a volume model.
From the outside, the 7-seater version of the Dreamer on display does not use a more aura two-color body design, and the iconic turbo wheels do not have a 4-seat version of chrome, and the overall style is still pragmatic.
And that's where we can show, because the interior of the 7-seater Dreamer can't be made public at the moment — in fact, what we saw yesterday was just a pilot version of the interior, only the basic architecture is determined, and Lantu said that a lot of the design may be modified.
So in addition to the peeping leopard in the pipe of the official map, let's put up with it first.
However, in the looming official map, some of the interior dots of the 7 Dreamers can still be talked about, for example, it is obvious that the second and third rows will have air conditioning outlets, such as the Dreamer's head space is more abundant.
Overall, Lantu released not many information points on this product day, more like creating suspense and hanging our appetite. Just like the next car, the only reply we can ask is "there should be a conference next year."
Fortunately, 2022 is coming, next year's Beijing Auto Show, Dreamers may announce the official pricing, as well as the final version of the interior.
