The story of the young Kangxi hand-catching Aobai is well known, but what makes people wonder is why Kangxi did not depose Aobai by other means, or let others do it for himself? Ao bai is strong in martial arts, and isn't it very dangerous for Kangxi to do it himself? In fact, there are the following reasons, so that Kangxi was forced to be helpless and desperate to take risks.
Ao Bai Rong Ma had a remarkable battle record and made great achievements for the founding of the Qing Dynasty. However, in his later years, Aobai was captured by the young emperor Kangxi because of his pride in his achievements and his alliance with the party, which ended in a tragic end. It is worth pondering that even though Ao Bai despised the imperial power and committed unforgivable crimes, the Kangxi Emperor only put Ao Bai under house arrest after painstaking efforts to successfully capture him, but did not kill him quickly.
The first point is that Ao Bai made great achievements for the Great Qing. Ao Bai was the patriarch of the Three Dynasties of the Qing Dynasty, and he made great contributions during the Imperial Taiji Period and the Shunzhi Period. Many important battles before the Qing army entered the pass, such as the Battle of Jinzhou, Aobai participated in and performed well, and after entering the pass, he fought against the Great Western Army and followed Prince Hauge of Su to conquer Zhang Xianzhong, which also made great achievements. Although Kangxi hated Aobai to the bone, he gave a high evaluation to Aobai's military achievements, Kangxi, "Among the ministers who served in my court, there was no one who worshipped Batulu. The descendants of Kangxi also gave Ao bai a high evaluation, Yongzheng posthumously honored Ao bai as chaowu, and Qianlong also gave Ao bai a high evaluation.
The second point is that although Ao Bai is flying high, he has always been loyal to the Huang Taiji family and has no intention of rebelling. Ao Bai can be said to be the kangxi emperor's grandfather Emperor Taiji's most loyal slave, after the death of the emperor Taiji Ao Bai and other people vigorously advocated the establishment of his crown prince succession to prevent Dolgun from ascending to the throne, so after Dolgun was in power, Ao Bai was persecuted three times and almost died, when he was reused by the Shunzhi Emperor as an assistant minister of the Kangxi Emperor, although Ao Bai obstructed the Kangxi Emperor's pro-government, it was just a greed for power and did not have the intention of rebellion. Therefore, the Kangxi Emperor not only did not kill Aobai but also released his family to posthumously seal him many years after his death.
