How much of an exception is there? During Qianlong's reign, although the Qing Dynasty was in the heyday of Kangqian, and Qianlong himself had achieved great political achievements, none of this prevented Qianlong from making great achievements. Emperors have always been good at compiling history books, such as the yongle canon that has been lost, and in that year, Qianlong wanted to completely repair this canon, but after thinking about it, he finally felt that it was more convenient to compile what others wrote than to create it himself.
However, Qianlong himself did not have the leisure and effort to compile the canon, and could only invite additional people. The people who had been invited to come over had to learn the five cars of the rich and the astronomy and geography, and the famous official Liu Tongxun introduced himself to Qianlong, saying that this Ji Yun might be qualified for the post of compiler. To ask who Ji Yun is, it is actually Ji Xiaolan's real name.
If it were not for Liu Tongxun's introduction to Qianlong, in fact, this Ji Yun would not have been able to mix with the emperor, because before, Ji Xiaolan was only a Sipin official at best, and even the name emperor was unheard of. But Liu Tongxun is also a measured person after all, and it is impossible to nominate others for no reason after all. Speaking of this, I have to say a story about Ji Xiaolan that Liu Tongxun heard in the early years.
It is said that when Ji Xiaolan was young, his family was a scholar, his father and grandfather had served as officials, and his great-grandfather was an official of Taixue, Ji Xiaolan was also influenced by the Chinese atmosphere of his family since childhood, and he practiced Confucianism and studied the Four Books and Five Classics since childhood. But even though she was strictly tutored from an early age, Ji Xiaolan would still play with the children in the neighborhood when she was a child.
At that time, the children liked to play with the ball, and Ji Xiaolan was also very happy to play the ball, throwing it with his hands with his foot kick, as long as the family did not reprimand him, he also played from the afternoon to the evening. And just as a group of children were having fun, a palanquin passed through the middle of the street. I don't know which child didn't brake and kicked the ball straight into the car.
At this moment, the children were stunned, although some people proposed to go up to the owner of the palanquin to beg, but no one dared - after all, looking at the posture of the palanquin, it was something that the official family was riding. Not to mention how big the official master inside was, in case the record just now smashed people, it would be too late to hide if he was questioned by The Xingshi.
But among the children, only Ji Xiaolan was not afraid, and ran over in three or two steps, looking for the people in the palanquin to ask for the ball that flew away. And sitting in the palanquin is the local prefect old man, although the prefect's face is not angry, seeing that the visitor has a small clever ghost look, he said to Ji Xiaolan, I will give you a couplet, if you can play the next link, I will return the ball to you. Prefect Road:
"There are seven or eight boys, but they are cunning."
Ji Xiaolan saw it and did not refuse, after a little thought, he immediately replied:
"Taimori 2,000 Koku, Self-Defense ..."
Ji Xiaolan deliberately lengthened his voice at the end of the sentence, meaning that the last word of the couplet would not be announced for the time being. But the prefect listened, immediately took the children's balls from his hands, waved his hand at Ji Xiaolan and said, "It's really wonderful, you won!" ”
Liu Tongxun told this story to Qianlong and explained the mystery to Qianlong. The prefect's shanglian means that of the seven or eight children, only you are the most cunning. Ji Xiaolan did not give a definitive answer, but the old name of "Taishou" referred to "prefect", and said that the prefect had 2,000 stones of Feng Lu every year, but did not say how this prefect was. If Ji Xiaolan got the ball back, he could add a "lian" to the last word, and if the prefect was embarrassed by him, he could make up a "greedy", so in the end, the prefect still returned the ball to Ji Xiaolan.
