In 1942, Zhao Shangzhi led his troops to attack the Wutong River Police Station, and a traitor named Liu Deshan was mixed in the ranks, and when the gun rang, the traitor fired a black gun in the back.
Zhao Shangzhi fell to the ground in response, bleeding unceasingly.

It wasn't until 2004 that a writer from the military region's political department came to the local Banruo Temple and inquired about the whereabouts of General Zhao's skull.
Everyone did not seem to know about this, but a few monks reported that when the wall was being repaired a few days ago, the workers dug out a head, and the writer seemed to understand something and quickly found the head.
After a number of experts compared, it was finally determined that this head originated from General Zhao Shangzhi.

The skull was found, which was a great comfort for the descendants of the Zhao family.
In 2008, the Zhao Shangzhi Martyrs Cemetery in Liaoning Province was completed, and behind the wall was the lyric "Manjiang Hong" that he wrote in 1931, through which we can still feel the spirited General Zhao Shangzhi.
